I need some help. I flashed the Reborn rom but it won't boot. It gets stuck on the LG logo. I've been running shell for a few days and wanted to try reborn. Followed all instructions properly. I tried re-downloading it and re-flashing it in case something was corrupted but the same thing happens. Any idea what the problem is?

Turns out it's Picastick's kernel causing the problem. I tried flashing that kernel with the Shell rom and it got stuck on LG logo too. Now I just flashed reborn and then flashed the xionia kernel and everything is working fine.

That is why you have bad battery life. You need to get a data switch or put your phone in airplane mode when on the subway. Your phone always searches for both phone & data signals. If your in area area that has bad reception your phone uses more power to try to connect or tries to roam.

Ok over a month and no new update, i'm itching to reflash to see if I can get my battery life problem fixed. When i'm at home with wifi on my phone will last days but if i'm at work with a good 3 bars of evdo my battery dies from 100 to 0 in about 2 hours and the only thing i'm using is dog catcher (which plays just fine for 8+ hours at home). But if I turn off 3G at work I get 10 hours of battery life. So i cant see it being any apps since with Thundrom doing the same activities with 3G on and the same apps running I could make it through a work day no prob. There is something in this rom that hates 3G. That being said I wanna try to reflash to see if it fixes it but I am waiting for the new update.
The thing is, I seem to get bad battery life even when I'm not in the subway and am sitting at home or in the office all day. As you indicated, my phone is always searching for both phone and data signals but I'm assuming that would be true even if I was in a good reception area and had full signals for both. What do you mean when you say get a data switch?

A data switch is a toggle you can get on the market that allows you to turn off your data. so when in a area where you have a weak or no data signal, you can turn it off so phone will not waste energy trying to fine a good connection.
You can still receive phone and text messages with it off just not data. When you need data just turn it back on.

I'm running unmodified Reborn ROM. When the phone is locked, the buttons won't wake the phone. Whenever I unlock the phone using NoLock or the PowerControl Widget, the buttons wake the phone again.
Basically here's what happens. I tested this using both the NoLock widget and PowerControl. When the widget is set to keep the phone locked, the buttons will not wake the phone, but when the widget is pushed to unlock the phone, the buttons wake again.
When I'm using the stock lock screen, my phone only wakes up if I use the power button... now whenI was using Widget Locker, I could make it so any button woke the phone up. I'm guessing it's a widget setting. Good to hear that you ended up getting your purchases refunded.
This rom disable the hard keys to wake phone. I believe theres a zip in the OP to enable them....

The widgets that let you toggle your phone between locked and unlocked seem to disable the no-wake thing.

This is the exact same thing that I experienced. Mu battery would drop drastically when not on wifi even when I had full bars of service.
I went back to nameless v1 and my battery issues went away.

Giving up on this rom for now. Will be looking forward to updates. Also, how diffucult would it be for devs to add the same power control widget found in gingerbread? That would be nice.
Do think in ver.2.2 you somehow could make the hard keys backlights be like a blinking notification.....If thats even possible.....

you might look at this post for the hard key lights. I wouldn't do the drilling part.. Yeah, I didn't bother with it b/c I didn't need it. I'm getting used to having just 1 key wake the phone up. Frustrates the crap out of my three year old though.

Yes there is a zip that will bring keys back to stock set up. I used it my self.
