Kieth, I know you're out of town.... but none the less; been running the newest rom (1.4) for 2 days now and it seems to have awesome battery life. It's overall quick and responsive. I am using the latest oc + fps kernel from xda and everything seems to be working great, THANKS!

Edit: I guess I spoke too soon. I tried to update to the newest radio (not wimax) on XDA and I get error 67 anytime it tires to use 3G data. I downgraded to the previous version 1.39.00.05.31 and that works. I was reading through the thread on XDA and some people mention that the ROM needs to have certain files updated to work with the newest radio....but I don't really know.

I am not in a 4G/WiMax area so I am still on the stock wimax radio file and cannot comment on whether the update works/doesnt.

the newest radio works for me. did you update PRL and data profile and after you installed the new radio?

How do I update the data profile? And I guess for consistency sakes, which prl did you download?

it will be under settings. you cannot choose which PRL you get (it installs the most current) and then the data profile option is listed above it.

when in settings scroll all the way down to the bottom. it's down there.

just install the one on page 57. there are no bugs and i think it is as official as it is gonna get.

actually, he might put the new radios in and gbhil might add something to refresh the mac address on boot. but you can do both of those things yourself.

Ah, okay. I only asked because on XDA there are many (such as this one) threads with various PRL versions. That being said, I did what you suggested and have the newest radio working. THANKS!

no, you don't have to upgrade either radio.

add:
if you decide to update your wimax radio then be prepared for your 4g to possibly break. when i say break i mean it may just sit and scan. if that happens -- do this:

in root explorer.(if you don't have it -- get it. It's the best I have used)

Delete the file in: data>misc>wimax (your MAC address).tree.xml. update prl and data profile and then reboot. (i have been successful just turning off 4g and deleting the file without messing with the prl, data profile, and reboot. just turned 4g back on and it regenerates the file.)

i don't know of any problems with the new radio for the phone.

For anyone who cares about FPS, there is a new fix out on XDA that allows for > 53fps. In my case overclocked to 1152 I am getting 56-57fps. The fix works for both epson and nova panels. I am using the later.
