since i didnt make it to become a tester in time, :/ hows battery life coming along? and i have a question that might piss off DK but im really tryna help. up on xda, there is an alpha 2.3 build for cm10 that has camera working. have you looked at it and seen anything different between your two roms?

Yeah, but not a native app, it's going to be a "google now style web interface" for search, however only search. there will be no cards or location based tools...

and yeah, apple is dropping google maps and youtube from iOS 6. With google having such a head start on maps and location services and the most popular video delivery platform, we'll see how apple can hold up. Also with android phones getting better and cheaper than iphones they have some real pressure to play that cool factor to the hilt on selling devices. either that or have iphone 6 be some super amazing game changer.

The camera issue is one that came with the addition of the CM settings tweaks which I believe happened around RC1. They just have to track down whatever in the CM settings code that is killing the camera.

Please dont talk about iCrap please. Lets not get my users to become iSheep ok? My wife was begging me for the iPad 2 and instead I got the Nexus 7 :thumbup: Lol. She wasnt to happy but she loves the Nexus as much as I do. Needless to say my next phone will be a Nexus. Im sick of carriers dictating updates for me.

Just curious, is the sound search feature in this rom? Also I couldn't change the storage config in settings>storage>menu on rc 1.5. Is this fixed?

Hey quick question I flashed the FG31 modem on alpha 17 but when I go to enter my msl code it says modem error and I can't get in. Anyone have this problem or know a fix? Also dk thanks for all the hard work

Just curious as to what some of these standards are that would keep this from becoming official CM10?
Seems like too much work has been put into this to ignore that possibility.

I don't think it works on any AOSP based roms. It didn't work for me on CM9 and it isn't working on CM10. However, it does work for me when I'm using Touchwiz based roms.

FG31 works perfectly for me on Alpha 17 and I haven't had any LOS. Modems have nothing to do with ROMs also , because I was running FG31 on EL26 & EL29.

Has anyone tried changing the LCD density yet? I tried to change to 180 using LCD Density Modder Pro and it reboots to Samsung screen, goes black and then nothing till battery pull, time to pull battery. Let me know if anyone else has success!

Not to discredit DK's great work, but the "too much work" he has put in is nothing compared to what it takes to become an official CM. Team Epic CM has had a bug-free and very stable CM9 for months and it's still on Alpha 6 lol. The standards are really rigid, and like thenameisnigel said, you'll find better info on their website. Maybe someday he will get official CM10 though hopefully.

Try ROM toolbox, seems to work when others don't. Click the performance tab at the top then build.prop tweaks.

Doh! I'm a goofball! I usually use that, I forgot, I only bought LCD Density Modder for the ability to patch the market when it gives issues with density changes. Thanks for reminding me!
