Can someone point me to the easy way to update from 2.4 to 2.7. Do I use Odin, CWM or just put the file on my SD card? Sorry for the newbie question.

Easiest way would be to just drop the file on your SD card and then flash it with CWM.

Put SC2.7 on the SD card and flash in CWMR be sure to wipe cache before doing so.

right before, and a cache partition wipe wouldnt hurt either

Okay I know I have already posted this but I rewiped everything and reinstalled 2.7 nv and it just hangs at "samsung" at boot up....any ideas?

you need to give it some time to boot up just be patient unless it is vibrating and FCing

Edify is the scripting language used to install things via recovery. Amend is the only method. Edify has been since 1.6, but harder to use, and most people hate it. (I do).

I am going back to 2.6 and will try using rom manager to install it.....I went on for 10 minutes sitting on samsung screen
