[ROM]Superclean 2.8!! *UPDATED*

Is anyone else having wifi issues after the 2.5/2.6 roms? I was running 2.4 for a few weeks and didn't notice any issue but since upgrading to 2.5 over the weekend, and 2.6 last night, I can't connect to a saved network if the SSID is not broadcast.

I connected with my Netbook after noticing this issue and it linked up fine. I logged into my router and enabled the SSID broadcast and the phone connected immediately. I turned it back off and it disconnected again within about a minute.

Also, I've never noticed this before (maybe because I was never troubleshooting wifi before) but should the phone constantly scan for networks when it is already connected to a live (saved) network? In my Wifi settings, by Detected Networks it shows "scanning" about every 5 seconds. Seems like it would drain the battery more than needed if it is constantly scanning for networks after it is already connected to a network.

My phone is "Scanning" every 5 seconds while connected to a detected network as well. I am sorry but I don't remember if my phone used to do that before.

I'm on SC 2.6.

*** UPDATE - I think I found my answer in this thread. ***

I see there is a patch for Backup Assistant....My current version on the 2.6 I installed yesterday isn't working - says it cannot find a connection.

I had the same problem the first time I started backup assistant after flashing. So I went to backup assistant online and hit sync with phone there. It reloaded/synced all my contacts and then every time after that it worked fine doing everything on the phone it self. I never installed the batch. Give it a try if you haven't already.

since i upgrade to sc 2.6 i have been having problems with my phone service with connectivity and even loss of service ( i can't remember when i even got the 3g icon to appear) as well as market running extremely slow. anyone else having these problems and does any one know how to fix. thanx

I'm having the same issues as you, plus my battery life sucks still on the eb01 eb16 sc2.6. I've wiped, reflashed, etc about 3 times so far. Still haven't been able to fix it or get anything to improve. I'm just going to go back to stock then back to eb01 sc2.4 and wait to see if thing sound like they're improving. I love 2.6 other than the data and battery issues I'm experiencing.

I'm starting to think that most battery issues are due to the phone not going to sleep if GPS is turned on. I like having mine on all the time but getting tired off either having it turned off or doing all the other tricks to get the phone to sleep(must be done after each reboot) I might try 2.4 or a reg debloated EB01 this weekend.

May be, I don't have gps on unless I'm using the car dock or maps so I'm not sure what the deal is with mine. Gps will definitely suck the battery thou.

I must have had my gps on last night and didn't know it...
I went from 100% at 12:00 to DEAD when I woke up at 5:30am.. :(

Good thing I have an great internal clock.... otherwise, I would've been screwed...

weird things going on with the phone lately... I may have to start with a clean slate.. :D

Superclean 2.6 and going back

I am ready to move to Superclean 2.6. However I would like to know where to find the file to restore back to stock...if I should need to. I am running EA28 now.

I would like to know where to find this file...just in case.

rjack22, here's the link to the stock odin package from droidxcon. If that link doesn't work here's the link to his original post with instructions. You want the DI01 file package, once you reflash that you can get the OTA update to get back up to EA28.

Adrynalyne just tweeted, he's got superclean 2.7 non voodoo up for download. Thank you again, your a beast.

I guess I got something new to flash!! Def going to give it a try

I'm having the same problem.

Stock

Thanks for the link to the stock file. I don't think I am going to need it (GRIN) but want to have it around! I just successfully flashed to Superclean 2.6!

Can someone point me to the easy way to update from 2.4 to 2.7. Do I use Odin, CWM or just put the file on my SD card? Sorry for the newbie question.

Thanks

just put it on your sd card and flash it in CWM, you might want to clear cache and dalvik cache before you flash it tho

I just installed 2.7 nv and rebooted after doing a complete wipe and it is just sitting at the samsung logo.....for about 2 minutes now
