[ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-28 For Virgin Mobile Optimus Slider

Now I wish I had one to play with and develop directly from. Always easier to theme when you have the device in ur hand. This is looking really good. Keep up the good work KP!

When you say no ringtone, is this a stock ringtone or custom ringtone you've downloaded? Is this the default assigned ringtone for the device or a ringtone you've assigned to a specific person? When reporting issues please provide as much detail as possible. Thanks.

Also, GPS is stock GPS config. Untouched. I may or may not get around to that but as stated in post #2, please don't report Android/VM/GB bugs as being related to this body of work. It's important to separate the them as introduced bugs take priority.

What about the Activate app? I assumed out would work because your ROM is built from stock, but it won't work either when opened or called from the ##VIRGIN# menu.

Yeah, it just kinda force-closes.

Are you on the 11-20 build released yesterday??

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-20

An update? Of course... *smacks self on head* this ROM is so darn good every time I turn around its issues have been fixed. That and I could probably fix that by moving it myself... thank you.

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-21

OP updated with new build dated 11-21.

improved GPS lock time
added Google DNS servers
uses stock android boot animation now
power control notification toggles (Credit jstntp from team hydro)
Gelato build date shows in "about phone" menu

enjoy!

EDIT- just a reminder that when you flash this you'll be back on stock kernel. You'll need to reflash drew's kernel if that's what you prefer. Flash the rom first, then his kernel. No need to reboot between the flashes.

I've seemed to have lost the status bar. I just updated from your 11-19 version, wiped the cache, installed the other kernel on top of it, but now the status bar is no where to be seen. I can't even make it appear with LauncherPro's home key shortcut. Is there a file I can pull off of one of the older versions for a quick fix?

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-20

I've just changed the download link in OP back to 11-20. I'm tired, going to bed. I'll look into it next time i get access to an optimus slider.

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-20

Great job, and so that's why my bootanimation looks stocky now :-p That freaked me out; it takes a little while to get used to something with less gaudiness and smoother animation. Encouraging other people to mod in their own is a good thing, of course.

Also, Flash is goofy on my phone. I dunno if another thread should be started on WHERE it works, but after installing my own little .apk/.so combo, the only browser that lets me use it is Opera Mobile.

Pre-edit edit: Okay, I found the necessary libraries, put it into the app's data folder, and it now works. (Whether or not I should have copied them into the System folder? Umm... oh dear.) I think your Flash player build isn't working on my phone because the proper libraries aren't installed... I THINK. No complete idea though.

Also this. Me being too lazy to try it myself. I might later when I get to a computer I can install drivers on.

Did you flash the 11 21 build?

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-20

Yes. I have the strange sinking feeling that wasn't a good idea... what did it kill and how badly?

Right after I finished setting up Link2SD and the latest Swype... darnitall

Nothing is wrong. The person before you said their status bar isn't working. Apparently yours is? And power toggles are there and working?

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-20

My status bar is there. The power toggles all appear to work... at least, wifi, auto-rotate, and sound on/off do. Bluetooth does. I think... yeah... maybe? location works too. No problems here.
