That's not the first time in this thread someone has said they had WiFi issues on multiple Android versions or ROMs. I'm going to chalk this up to possibly being hardware related. If anyone has new evidence/info to present please do, but that's what it looks like as of now.

I can agree to this. I flashed mine and my wife's phone and both of us have no problems connecting to our WiFi at home. At her parent's house however, both our phones will say its "Connected" to WiFi but mine will surf and run apps no problem while all the apps on her phone will say "No Connection." We both have the same ROM, so TER can't be the problem.

crazy... did you restore your back up and everything works fine?

Yep it seems fine, also placed spare parts in agreesive mode after the restore and this time i uninstalled a few programs but i made sure to change back from agreesive to Normal(already had swf player uninstalled prior)and seems like while in aggresive its where the problem starts when uninstalling from what i can see right now, then restarted and things seems good good now, will report if anything changes

Can the short cuts on the AM Launcher be changed. Is there a preferences list similat to Launcher Pro. If so how do I set it.

personal preference, some people like AM better, some people have problems with LP. I think they are both great btw.

TrulyEpic Rebirth v1.2 - /sbin/sh am not found?

I have searched for hours trying to find a solution to this. Please forgive me if its in the TrulyEpic Rebirth thread, its 100+ pages long and a search didn't return anything.

So as the subject says, I'm running the TrulyEpic Rebirth v1.2 AC Edition ROM on my Epic. Its working great except for one problem.

I have been working on a android application for a few months now and had previously been able to send the application directly from Eclipse/Android SDK to my Epic prior to changing to the TrulyEpic ROM.

Now, when I try to send it to my device, I get the following in the console of Eclipse:

Uploading xxxxxx.apk onto device 'D700cc875263'
Installing xxxxxx.apk...
Success!
Starting activity com.xxx.xxx.main on device D700cc875263
ActivityManager: /sbin/sh: am: not found

Even though the log says it was successful at installing the apk, it doesn't show up on my phone nor does it auto-start the app like it does on my Galaxy Tab.

I have found others suggest to see if the am and pm files/programs exist in the /system/bin directory. I looked there and both exist, and seem to be executable.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Try flashing this. It will write the am and pm files to your phone, which were pulled from a virgin copy of Froyo DK28.

Just curious about official froyo turn around time to TrulyEpic? If this thing ever comes (latest rumor of the 21st) what all needs to be done to make it TrulyEpic? I have been real happy with this rom in its current state and can only hope Samsung/Sprint got the quirks fixed.

Zeam or Zeem (i forget the actual spelling) is a pretty good light and basic launcer with a few customizations but not much allowing for a fast launcher. no cool app drawer like AM Launcher but still it is pretty good for something that is pretty basic.

By then Ahmgsk should be back in full force, so the TrulyEpic torch will be passed back to him. I'm sure he'll be able to provide a nice update based on official Froyo.

I hope is the 21! it will be one hell of a birthday gift to me ! woooooo 24!!! im fkng old D8!
but on the other side, yeah i of course will flash to the new DK28 if it does come out, and when truelyepic is made under this rom, ooh you betcha i will be going with truelyepic !

Screen rotation problems. I used su-> /system/bin/sensorcalibutil_yamaha and I'm having serious problems with apps orientating horizontal and upside down. I've tried all the regular trouble shooting to right this but the best I can get now is to shut off auto rotate and deal with a dialer that's stuck in bad position with no numbers. Please help.

Screen rotation lag fix works fine on both versions. I just used it again when we did TER v1.5.

Note: when it says to place in horizontal position to calibrate I lay the phone down with keyboard open on its back and I steady the phone while I press enter to calibrate. Exit app then press power to sleep for a sec then wake the phone and everything is fixed.
