I know that this is a stupid question, but can someone explain to me what visual voicemail is and does, and what the difference of a stock voicemail?

Visual voicemail is what the stock voicemail is called on sprint smartphones. Regular voicemail on regular phones is when u actually call it. Visual voicemail is where you actually get to see a list of the voicemails and are able to control it with a nice UI instead of having to "please press 1"
So I followed the instructions for the non reset update to 1.5, and my phone ended up in a infinite boot loop. Then I wiped everything and tried again and I got an infinite loop. Any ideas? I had to go back to 1.2...

Try wiping everything system/cache/dalvik 3x then flash the Clean version of TER 1.5 again.
had 1.5 running for a few days, clean install. today after a reboot I had so many force closes, google talk will not open any ideas? should I reflash 1.5 and whats the best way to do it again? just add it to my SD card, boot to clockwork and flash?

Reboot into CWM and select Fix Permissions.
If that doesn't fix it, which it should then yes place it TER 1.5-Clean onto your sdcard, wipe 3x in CWM and flash.
Thanks! Any ideas why this would happen? Also if I wanted to go back to ver 1.2, I just place it in the SD and boot into clockwork etc correct?

All we (ragnarokx and I) know as of right now is something in the updated scripts or journaling mod has the Permissions altered somehow. Its random and doesn't seem to effect everyone. All we know is selecting the Fix Permissions seems to fix the problem for most.
Your correct on the TER 1.2, place it on your sd card and boot into CWM wipe 3x and flash.
You will find if you become a frequent flasher its easier to just keep a folder on your sdcard with all your ROMs and any addons/themes. This way you can flash and change things on the run, anywhere/anytime
If sprint does end up pushing out froyo, what is the best way to get it? Will I need to revert back to eclair first, will I need to do a factory reset of the phone? I just don't want to miss it if it comes out.

i deleted my cam and firmware apk from the trulyepic rom 1.5 like an idiot cause i noticed this rom has laggy video recording fps it was jumping from 10fps to 25 tops never 30 as its suppose 2 be anyone else having this issue if so is there a fix for what i did by deleting the damn firmware and camera apk or do i have to redo the rom again

Can I Still Get OTA Updates with Leaked Froyo/Custom ROM/etc?
Couple quick answers too..
- Ragnarokx and I will have conversion threads up ASAP.
- OTA method could take days to weeks to roll out to everyone
- Manually updating by use of an update.zip is usually the best option.
- You can choose to Odin back to stock Eclair and wait for the OTA but like mentioned above it could be days or weeks even after they start pushing it out before everyone receives it.
- We will have all the information possible as soon as we get it.

My video is recording smoothly, not sure what's going on there. Install clean and try recording then, I bet it will be fine.
As far as the files you deleted (try renaming to .bak next time instead), did you do a Nandroid backup, ever? If so, that should also be a viable path to recovery.

Not knowing exactly what you deleted by "firmware" my best suggestion is you reflash the ROM.
yea imma reflash the room i guess i have no choice idk why i did that its cool if it still has that issue imma put it on 2.2.1 touchwiz see if i have that same issue if i do then it must be the damn phone lol and i dont wanna go to best buy for the 3rd time
v1.5 works great. The only problem I'm having is with the camera and only when I choose "Sports" for the scene mode.
Any ideas how to fix that? Its kinda hard to get a good picture of my 4 year old because he runs REALLY fast with his new shoes... : )

I figured I would check my camera and I have the same issue with sport mode causing fc instantly. I've never even tried to use it before with stock or ter. Shutter is alittle slow , blurry pics
