Now that I have, with your help, upgraded to Froyo, fixed the GPS that I broke in the process, sped up my screen rotation, and installed this TRULY epic ROM, my phone is perfect (I just realized that last statement sounds ominously like foreshadowing to it falling out of my shirt pocket and into the toilet)

Anyway, barring that potential disaster, I just wanted to thank you for the great work and for the diligent, patient support.

I was so happy with my phone after I installed your ROM that I was reluctant to install a theme, but I just installed your mini 1.5 theme and I really like the notification panel changes. The battery meter is awesome too. (question: when I pull down the notification page, the bottom of that view has "notification" on the right, and a little handle on the left with horizontal bars of different brightness whites... Is that handle significant, or just a decoration?)

So, I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for helping me to have a great experience with my phone.

Any ideas on landscape view support? Additionally, when trying to view from the browser, it still tells me I'm not allowed to view from my platform. Any suggestions?

It might be just for looks but I noticed you can touch the icons and the notification window will minimize.

It is simply a graphic mod. The notification bar works the same as it did before.

Did you make any changes to the phone pad? The one in here is boring to say the least. I have seen some other cool ones, but would rather see what you modify as
you continue to work on this project rather than experiement with others.

Also, the Hulu question - my Flash updated after installation of rom. So does this mean Hulu will work, and just don't update any others? Of if update comes thru, delete this and reload??

Wanted to let you know Im been Flashing and Flashing the phone >.> lol
I wanted to tell you though, I noticed something on the phone while backing up some my rom before flashing smething new from here(if i don't like it, i can always reflash it back! yay!) but what i see most of the time(alot) come up is this

no Sd-ext found. Skipping back up of sd-ext

Is this Ok?
or did i did somethign wrong when doing the Converstion to EXT4?

It's fine, you can ignore it.

Hm awesome them, I haven't tried it yet, but this will only remove the way the SMS looks as well as the limit ect.. will it also leave the fix the "sprint voice sms's" one get from installing VM?

Don't update Flash after installing the mod and it will work fine.

Use the browser in desktop (not mobile) mode. And there might be a setting on the webpage that needs to be changed (I haven't used Hulu in a while).

I'm not aware of this problem. Can you give more detail on what happens/what you do when it happens?

Soo I flashed my epic...this is my first run at installing a rom. I really like it. However I noticed my phone doing that bootup loop but it was only while my phone was about to die....but is it normal to show it booting up every ime I turn on my phone and will it always ask me to sign into my gmail acct?.also for some reason I can't sync my .live acct....it recognizes it butwont load any emails...was jus wondering if this was normal or should I re flash...sorry about the noob questions lol

Well, trying to restore to DK28 didn't work. Tried twice and same result Guess I need to try and go back all the way to D18.

Before I do that, I don't have to revert back from the EXT filesystem before attempting to restore to D28?

Odin back to Eclair 2.1 and it will reset everything back to factory stock, including the filesystem/scripting

Ok, the restore to D18 worked fine. Since that was good, and if I can perform the same procedure to get to D28 using Odin, and the tar file then I think I'd like to do that, although I could still do the memory card procedure too.

If you follow the directions as put out in post #1, you should be fine. It'll take you through 3 other posts I believe, have you downloading like 4 files, and should take less than an hour once all said and done. Make sure you slow down, *read* through the processes, and do all recommended tasks.

I did go slow last time, and read everything. All went well, but for some reasons I had 4 keys on the physical keyboard that weren't working. I've now restored back to D18 and those 4 keys still don't work, so perhaps the problem was with the keyboard. I don't use the physical keyboard that often. Now that I am back to stock D18 I can take this puppy back to Sprint and get them to replace it. At least now I know that it wasn't something with the upgrade process.

Do you install the apps the same way you install the ROM.
using clockwork from the SD card?

Yes you flash them in ClockWorkMod the same as the ROM, unless stated otherwise.
