[ROM][WIP][ALPHA][NS4G] oICSv43 | AOSP 4.0.3 (ICS)

I'm doubtful about vastly improved after reading this whole thread on people's experiences with 41.

Believe me, it is. Don't base your opinion on the handful of people here. If you want to base it on other peoples experiences, read the 4000+ post thread on XDA. There are not nearly enough people here to be a valid sample group. V36 was the first version based on the code Google released for the NS4G. Many improvements have happened between v36 and v41.

This is the ONLY ICS rom available that is useable on my phone. VERY SMOOTH AND FAST when combined with matr1xv13 kernel.

OK. Thanks. I'll probably go to 41, as soon as I thoroughly understand the best practice to manage recovery images, and minimize my efforts on reinstalling all my apps.

Oicsv41 with glados 2.3 at 1540(just for bragging lol) after letting kernel settle for a full day.

Re: [ROM][WIP][ALPHA][NS4G] oICSv41 | AOSP 4.0.3 (ICS)

I think aosp listened to me - I was on rom manager talking about how Pete has face lock :p ... he put facelock on this one plus cm9 addons... again i switch back to oICS lol

New version change log in OP...

Looks like a biggie of an update in terms of goodies... Thanks aosp!

Hmm, cm mods are included...

I'll need to do some research on them.

Should be in app drawer, and there really isn't much in it yet. Should read Cyanogenmod settings.

Gutted this will give me enough time to figure out what it does :D

On another note, what is everyone using for CPU mods?

I have both set cpu and nstools. I like nstools the best. It kind of depends on which rom and kernel I'm using at the time. Set cpu works well on one combination and nstools works better on others. Nstools has deep idle and i don't think set cpu does.

Always recommended to start fresh......you can try wiping caches, but if you have any issues then you are just going to have to start fresh anyway....

Long days and pleasant nights............

I use NSTools. Admittedly, if I play with voltages or change my governor I get shoved into a loop of the phone starting up, sitting on the lockscreen, freezing, restarting it's self, repeat. So that may be operator err on my part. Pretty new to that nonsense. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon enough.

On a more relevant note, I'm gonna stick with 41 for a while. I've got the 1% battery mod on here, and it runs smoothly and stably for the most part (see above.) Battery life could be better, but it could be a whole helluva lot worse, so I'm content for now. I'll probably update when I think the CM mods are significant enough for me to want, but from what I understand there aren't many that I can't live without.
