I seem to have fixed the switched home and menu key problem, by going to /system/usr/keylayout/thunderc-keypad.kl and changing a few keys (139 and 102) around.

key 139 HOME WAKE_DROPPED
and
key 102 MENU WAKE

Simply switch the HOME and MENU text around:

key 139 MENU WAKE_DROPPED
and
key 102 HOME WAKE

Then save the file, and reboot. Works so far for me.

i have tried this like 5 times....and nothing happens :/ i go back into the settings, and its like it never saved even though i saved it. lol

I reuploaded the ROM with the keys fix, just redownload alpha 7

I can get several hours (3-5) of playing Celes Arca MMORPG and it will drain to 30%-40% in that time... soooo I'd say it's GREATLY IMPROVED!

1. havent noticed yet, but only had it a day.

2. mp3 cannot be used directly as ringtone, but easily can be made into a ringtone using Ringdroid, free android app off of android market. This app can also be used to edit/chop up mp3s to get exactly the loop you want...pretty sweet. honestly though, I would like if mp3 could be selected straight up as a ringtone.

3. You can check gmail through the gmail.com webpage on the phone, or you can also log into "Gmail" application on the phone which appears to only handle 1 gmail account at a time. So, no, no-multiaccount notifications, I would say. Very probable that someone will come out with this in a custom app though.

Custom apps man...get what you want out of the phone.

awesome battery life
I left the sync, gps, and 3g off in airplane mode and it stayed at 100% for the whole school day (7:20-2:36)

Updated OP with latest custom Gapps, Now with working google ears.
