Re: [ROM][WIP] Unofficial CM7 (Gingerbread) - 7/15/2011

Blarf, do you have a list of the changes made?

I hate to say this but due to horrible call quality I'm gonna have to switch back to reborn rom....I will switch back as soon as the issue is resolved because I absolutely love this one. Keep me posted ath3nos and blarf! Ill miss it :(

By poor call quality I mean the delayed echo...its unbearable!!

Re: [ROM][WIP] Unofficial CM7 (Gingerbread) - 7/15/2011

i wiped system and cache before flashing and i'm having no issues sending nor receiving mms

Re: [ROM][WIP] Unofficial CM7 (Gingerbread) - 7/15/2011

The stock CM7 apns-conf.xml should have Sprint information. Try changing "CDMA" to "Sprint" under the proper entries, see if that works.

I don't have a Sprint phone and was just giving a heads up to the Sprint folk because when I opened up the new apns-conf.xml, I only saw t-mobile entries:

Re: [ROM][WIP] Unofficial CM7 (Gingerbread) - 7/15/2011

Can you guys please file bug reports about these things? It's pulling in the wrong apns-conf.xml by default apparently. The proper CM7 one has all of the APNs for VM and Sprint.

Re: [ROM][WIP] Unofficial CM7 (Gingerbread) - 7/15/2011

holy **** Blarf, I don't know what you did but... THIS ROM IS TOO SMOOTH NOW. :D I love it. Thanks Ath3nos and Blarf! :)

Re: [ROM][WIP] Unofficial CM7 (Gingerbread) - 7/15/2011

Flased that zip made for the file.... no results, proceeded to manually replace the file with the .x provided above.. still unable to send or recieve mms?

People can hear me better on my wired earpiece. However its very hard for me to hear them now. The volume doesn't go high enough. I am very happy with the update and hope to see some if these small changes fixed.

I'm getting this too. Very low volume even with dsp changes.

Re: [ROM][WIP] Unofficial CM7 (Gingerbread) - 7/15/2011

all of these are just small issues, but overall this is a great rom, thank you everyone who has put many many hours into this.

Well I just want to tell ath3nos and blarf that this is probably as close to perfection a rom will get. I have no complaints and my phone runs better than ever.

Ok so I love this rom. One problem I am having is when I try to update larger apps I get an error telling me the download was unsuccessful. I downloaded the new market and I get an error telling me there is not enough space gor the download. I know there is though because I have 2gb on my card left and 110mb left on the device. I just thought I would share this to help it get fixed if anyone else has had this issue. Thank you and keep going on this awesome rom.

Probably not a ron issue. Make sure you remove the old market before side loading the new one also.

Just added a comment to the Bluetooth issue. Sometimes there's no audio, sometimes it's just garbled (to both parties). I can't discern a pattern to it.

Now, I am running mmarz's port to the Optimus V, which I think has a different phone.apk. So that may be a factor... or not. Who knows.

Regardless, I finally had time to flash the 7/15 build today. Excellent job on it. It's every bit as quick as aospCM7, and the features and functions are surpassing aosp's now. The Bluetooth issue is the only thing I'm not completely pleased with, and I'm sure you'll find a fix in short order. Thanks so much! :D

Ok I have this issue with both the old and market. I nandroid my restore of zifies cm7 and they install just fine. That is why I don't know what is going on with it

Had this exact issue, and the new market said the same thing. It's a problem with your cache sizes, specifically dalvik. I've tried so many things it's ridiculous, but the data2ext thing is the only one that worked for me. What's happening is this: Market tries to download the update, but can't because the dalvik is too full for the files. If it immediately says download unsuccessful, then it means it doesn't have space for the temp file. If it starts, then says download unsuccessful, it means there isn't enough space for the new apk. Either way, your dalvik is full, and you can either uninstall some apps, or data2ext. Those are the only fixes. Sorry.

As to why it works on zefie's, I don't know why, but zefie's allowed me to have more apps than this one too. I guess maybe more cache is allocated to dalvik on that rom. Dunno. Either way, I had the same exact experience, and fixing it means either: A) Deleting apps or B) Data2ext. I chose B, but be warned, it gets complicated, and it means wiping your sd, so it's not to be taken lightly. Also, if you don't have a large sd card with a good class rating, it's a moot point.
