I searched this Thread and couldn't find the answer anywhere so I'm going to ask. SORRY IF IT"S POSTED ELSEWHERE.

Will Nick7's Roam Access Control work with this Rom? Or any for that matter? Has anyone tried this?

Two notes from your friends at the Optimus V forums:

1. You need to wipe before you install this updated rom. There is no need to do anything else besides "Wipe Data/Factory Reset". This deletes data and cache. The rom zip formats boot and system.

2. I'm pretty sure that this update will break MMS for you guys on Sprint. If it does, restore the file:

/system/etc/apns-conf.xml

From the previous rom release.

I want to update this new 7/15/11 ROM. I'm currently on the 7/9/11 release.
When updating this ROM I also like wipe everything.

My question is, is there any way to backup all CM7 settings to the SD card, that way when I update to the new release I have everything setup the way I had it before?

I just checked mine and it is there. I only wiped the cache so maybe that's it.

Yeah, but the problem with other cm7 roms wasn't the inability to send mms, but to receive them.

Unfortunately its a paid app so you'd have 15 minutes to test but you might check out roam control from the market. Do some research if it supports GB and also cdma devices but it might be worth it to you. Also, be careful forcing roaming. I personally know someone that got their contract cancelled for force roaming too much. No warning shot or nothing, just a cancellation letter in the mail and 30 days to port their number from the service.

Should only take a couple seconds to swap it out. If someone is willing to host I'd incorporate the apn Into your new build and change out the link in the OP for you. If interested let me know otherwise I suspect you're going to have a thread full of "haaalllppp I can't receive pictures" lmfao

Lol for those do it yourselfers I used root explorer but any file manager that has root access can replace the file. Make sure you mount read/write and replace with the apns-config posted

I'm curious. I have had this issue a few times myself. However, it only happens a few times and it is always the same people. The connection between all of them is that they are on Verizon. I'm not sure if that means anything, but any time I call a Verizon number I hear the echo. That may or may not be your case as well. Just putting it out there that I experience the problem too, but mine seems to be a little more specific.

Mine has been with T-Mobile users. Well for the most part. Very annoying. but I will be flashing this new build tonight and let you know the update. Hopefully this is a phase....will fill you in later. Cudos to you and blarf, great jobs on this.
