Coming from Reborn I was a bit curious to see how I would adapt to this rom. I love it! One thing I really miss is the battery percentage on the notification bar where the system battery is. Would there be anyway to possibly add that as maybe an optional feature? I would be so thankful!!!

Not sure If this CM7 port is the same as others but if you go to Settings--CyanogenMod settings--Interface--Status bar tweaks--Battery percentage you will get the percentage to replace the battery icon. Hope this helps!

I'm currently on Zefie's 4/28 build but I'll gladly be switching to this ROM soon once it gets a few updates. I want to thank you so much for doing this because I absolutely love Gingrbread and CyanogenMod. Your hard work is very much appreciated!

Thank you! I had not been able to fully poke through all of the different settings after I flashed. I appreciate it. This was exactly what I was hoping for.

Good to see someone taking up this huge project. I have a bug report. Don't know if its just me, but syncing seems to be broken. No matter what I do none of my Google services will sync at all.

Also, when are you going to have a github (or other) repo available? I've got spare processor power and need something to do LMFAO

Github should be completed by tomorrow sometime. As far as the syncing issue I'm really not sure about that. Everything syncs fine for me, maybe someone is having the same issue and will let us know. I'm the meantime, which gapps did you flash? The one in the OP is older, but should work.

I can't get my gmail to sync either. Any help?
On Reborn I just typed my Id and PW and it synced,
now I need domain/user
along with server.:-\

Did you flash gapps? Unlike Reborn, CM roms do not come with all the Google apps. You need to flash Google apps and go through the setup in order for syncing to your gmail to work.

I'm sorry my tech A.d.d. kicks in sometimes, installing gapps now. I'm an idiot!

Thanks anyways!!!

All is okay!!!!

Well my phone is OC'd to the max but will do it even if its not. Like this morning I was playing a video and it got choopy then bam I'm at LG screen. Sometimes while listening to music, browsing web...its completely random and its like before it does it phone will not respond to touches. I can't duplicate it, seeing as how its random...I just wanted to know if anything like that had been addressed on this rom

oh and thanks man for your work

I think its a hardware issue...not a rom issue. Ive had the same problem intermittently on several roms both froyo and g-bread but only when overclocked. usually happens when working the device really hard...music and gaming or downloading and installing a bunch of stuff...thought it might be overheating but seems to happen at all sorts of temps. ??? i think its might be some sort of hardware interlock to keep us from burning something up...but thats pure speculation.

i',m 90% precent sure this is kernel panic. thats when code is wrong somewhere in the kernel or rom and the kernel goes "i don't know what to do!!! restart!" it happens on alot of roms until all the bugs are ironed out.

i knew someone would have a more educated response :-)

gapps....is that required for the google apps to function properly? seems like its just a quicker/easier way to download and install a batch of google apps from the market...since i only really use gmail and a one or 2 others, i skipped it on the scott p cm7 install and just downloaded the ones i wanted directly from the market. never encountered any issues...but didnt look very hard....any thoughts?

gapps i believe is only a quick way to get google specific apps.

it used to be needed for market i think, but cm7 includes vending.apk in the build.

some google apps will not work without others installed, for more info, here is a link to cm7 wiki page talking about apps:

I tested GPS because i play with it a lot so far so good on mine.
EDIT: having a weird issue where all of my tones play through my earpiece.

i can confirm this issue. ringtones when receiving a call are coming through the ear piece and not the speaker. when selecting the ringtone in settings it does come through the speaker.

log: sound earpiece log - Pastebin.com

Getting a good list going on bugs. Keep up the good work and thank you all for testing. I will start working on these in the morning when I get to work.

Love this rom. Thank you for all the hard/good work!

ps. I really liked the Scott Pilgrim boot animation so i saved it and attached it below.
To install:
(assuming you have the sdk)
1. Connect you phone to your computer
2. Open a command prompt/terminal and run "adb remount /system" (this makes /system writable)
3. Then "adb push /location/of/bootanimation.zip /system/media" (this moves the animation to the proper place)
4. Finally run "adb shell" and "chmod 644 /system/media/bootanimation.zip" (fixes permissions on the animation to make it work)
Reboot and enjoy :D
