Yes, you can have only two apps in the launcher dock.

I have tried to replicate the app draw glitch you are talking about, but I can't. Maybe your overclocked too high, try turning that down a bit.

The issues I am having is random force closes. Data2ext seems to be working fine except for large file restore from TB.
The force close seems to be anything from launcher to messaging. They do work again on there own, but does not fit anything specific.

i only have it over clocked to 768 but it happen when you are moving apps to another category and accidentally open another app then it freezes thats the only problem i have found. thx for a really sweet rom boot screen needs some help tho lol

Ok here's the deal:

I don't like the data2ext mod in general and I'm not the only dev that feels this way. It is an unstable mod that I never really wanted to support in the first place. That is why it is not included in the Rom itself.

I'm highly considering removing it from post#3 of this thread because almost all the issues that arise are from people using it. As a matter of fact, I just convinced myself to do just that. Sorry to everyone who uses it, but issues with data2ext are something I am not willing to support. Hence the warnings that I posted for it.

From this point on, if you choose to use a form of data2ext or apps2sd or anything similar, please don't post problems about it here until you have removed the mod and duplicated the issue while running this Rom in its native form.

This Rom is very stable folks, we are gonna try to keep it that way.

so have the extras been updated yet? if not will you post here when they do or in the actual extra box on the first page?

just curious :p

One thing I don't get is how Data2ext can now be unsupported since some apps take 80mb w/dalvik. Such as plants vs. Zombies.
If people can survive with 2-3 apps on there phone then I don't get it.

Can someone tell me how to get around the market and dalvik issues?

Don't get upset about it. Its not my fault that this phone has little storage, and cant support a GAME that I did not develop.

Doesn't PvZ allow moving to the SD card natively? Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications > Select PvZ - tap move to sd card? Genuine question cause i dont really play games but an 80mb game that doesnt move to SD = crap development

Re: [RoM] YOUR-MOM-ROM v.1.0 - Updated 11/14/11

Took about 20 seconds to buffer on both on a somewhat weak wifi signal and on a medium strength 3g signal in my case.

Thanks for testing this out for me.
I greatly appreciate it.

Looks like the delayed audio streaming problem is a Gingerbread-specific issue on this phone. The strange thing is that my wife's SGS2 is on Gingerbread and doesn't have the same delay. I wonder what could be causing it.

maybe im grasping at straws here, but if you are not upgrading to gingerbread merely for a 20 second delay in audio streaming, perhaps you are expecting too much from our phones. this phone is like a subaru forester. pretty classy, lasts forever, but wont do 165 on the highway. :p

Lmao, I like this analogy!

I'm on my 4th Subaru...no wonder I love this phone. I got my Impreza (non-WRX) up to 100mph once, though!

Well, all the froyo-based ROMs I've tried start streaming audio within 5 secs, give or take, so I don't think your example fits.

I have to drive a lot, and while driving I primarily use my phone to listen to Internet radio stations and other live streaming audio. Having to wait 20+ secs when I switch from one station to another is just too frustrating for me. I guess I'm too impatient :p

I realize that there are many other benefits to using YOUR-MOM and other gingerbread-based ROMs. For me, however, those benefits don't outweigh the problems gingerbread seems to have with streaming audio.

I do really like this phone. I'm just trying to find the ROM that best meets my needs.

haha i admit, ZVH has its problems. you are right. i see prob 10 seconds delay on youtube or pandora, and you are right, it was much shorter on FroYo.

i believe my analogy still applies though. lol.

Yes you are correct, the issues started when google did there market change.
Then it took tons of room no one had to do any installs.
That is when the move to data2ext came and everyone was looking for ways to stretch the internal room.
I use PvZ as an instance because that is one of the larger files.

I know the room on that game that I have is 89 mb, I should see what it is when moved to sd.
160 mb is not a lot of room. So try to stretch that to the max.

I understand the problems that are faced when trying to incorporate data2ext, and apps2ext, just frustrated at room issues, sorry

Not to mention to all of you... YOUR SD CARDS ARE GOING THRU TONS OF UN-NEEDED WEAR AND TEAR! Reading and writing that much info all the time is going to kill your SD cards MUCH faster.... just sayin...

Troubleshooting someones faulty SD card is much more than a headache...

This will not be supported in any of the future builds. You can do what you want from there to achieve this.
