I figured... that's why I didn't pursue my asking earlier...

You didn't go stand in line for some ungodly length of time to save $50 bucks did you?

Lol, no way man! Not my thing at all. My wife did go to Walmart with her mom thanksgiving night when they opened at midnight, and that place was at max capacity. They would let one person in when one person left. That's just insane.

I read stories about how ugly things were out there... I've done that in the past, didn't see much that was that exciting...

Re: [RoM] YOUR-MOM-ROM v.1.0 - Updated 11/14/11

just felt llike posting that now that GingerKernel 0.8 is out and completely fixed the double-tap issue, i've gone back to using this ROM and that kernel on my Optimus S and love it.

Hard to find flaws now; that kernel is amazing and lets this ROM totally shine.

great work, looking forward to customizing that dropdown toggles (but I use extended controls mapped to a long-hold of the search button, so it's not critical).

excellent work!

Thanks, and yes drew did an awesome job with GK 08. What a world of difference, huh?

I wish I could promise customizable power toggles in the next update, but not this time around. That possibility WILL be revisited by myself and the team down the road, but I make no promises.

i've done android devving and all that as well (so I'm not a 'request request request' without actually knowing what's involved). So I was thinking of looking into the dropdowns and all... at least just skinning it differently.

but ya know? it's a minor quibble vs the talented devs involved with this ROM. so yeah, take time... enjoy yourselves... etc...

I say go for it..... skin that bad boy! Personal customization is very rewarding. ;)

I thought you were talking about the ability to change the function of the toggles themselves, like we could with Reborn ROM. That is what is proving to be more difficult this time around.

Re: [RoM] YOUR-MOM-ROM v.1.0 - Updated 11/14/11

I'm currently on ZVD-based CleanROM and was thinking of switching to this ROM and ZVH. I switched to CleanROM because I was having troubles with audio streaming on CM7 (there is a 30 sec delay before the audio stream is played) and wanted to see if the issue was CM7-specific or Gingerbread-specific.

If someone using YOUR-MOM-ROM could test something out for me, I would greatly appreciate it. Install the "TWiT Play" app, open it, and press the play button. then let me know if the stream starts playing in 5-10 sec or in 20-30 secs.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.techploy.twitplay

With CleanROM, sROM, Reborn, or ZVD stock, the audio stream starts playing in less than 5 secs for me. With CM7 on ZVD, it consistently takes 30 secs before the audio starts playing.

Thanks to anyone willing to test this for me :D

nah... i never did that with ReBorn due to Extended Controls already letting me handle the extra functions.

Really these drop downs' only "quirk" i have is just they're blurry and white so it's not uber-apparent what you've clicked or if it's being enabled/etc.

does the noIQ patch do something with those toggles on the drop-down? I flashed 1.1 and rebooted and noticed the cleaned up toggles (awesome and thanks!) then went and flashed the following:

noIQ
Fixed-Clock (right-side clock)
HTC keyboard calibration
Live Wallpapers
No buttons wake

somewhere along those lines, the power toggles went back to blurry... is it in the right-side clock?

excellent work regardless. thanks!

Yes, I need to update all those files to match the Rom now. I'll get it taken care of within the next couple days.

so i take it then that maybe one of those files also disabled the crt screen transition?
because i installed the rom, crt and clear toggles (i did see your comment on the toggles above) disappeared.

i installed no-iq, stock alarm clock, and clock on right side and the crt went away... :( will that return when you update said files?
