RebornRom is a ZVD based rom. Sounds like you're going to need to flash a radio or a baseband patch.

The last post from hlxanthus (before his reply to you) has a link to the baseband patch.


Always make a backup before trying something like this of course...

It's worth noting that you might want to trim the baseband patch before flashing - you can open up the zip with most zip editors (7-zip tends to be recommended) and delete files to accomplish this, though this will break the signature, meaning you'll need to turn signature verification off to flash the now unsigned zip.


The baseband patch found in that post contains an apps2sd solution (system/etc/init.d/05mountext and 08reloc) which you might not want, and a few other scripts which are likely unneeded (90userinit and 95zipalign) - you can probably delete the entire system/etc/init.d directory.

There's a few other files which you may or may not need, but I'd probably try leaving them intact first...

This is correct. I just downloaded the patch and there is a ton of junk you don't need. I rebuilt it to do as you need. Here you go. If this works, please let me know. I don't have an activated optimus s to test with. If this works I will add to the OP as the baseband fix

Been using DanteRom for over 6 months and late June when I returned from a trip I turned the power back on my phone and tried to update a few apps. I have found so far 3 apps that will not update. Meetme, textplus and tagged are those apps. I get a wide range of errors from:
Package file is invalid error
insufficient space (even though I have space)
Error 498
I have tried a full system clear and a fresh re-install of the rom, clearing the cache regarding googleplay from the app menu and clearing dalvik cache. Weird part is the last time I tried to clear the dalvik cache my phone told me it could not be found, but then it cleared it anyway.

I did not have problems until I returned from my trip. also I do have signal but as of late I have been dropping calls and everything. Sprint says that it is an on going problem as they are upgrading the towers in my area.

Any help would so be appreciated, below are the specs of my phone. My previous rom I believe was yourmomrom

*UPDATE* installed the fix on front of forum and that seemed to fix all market problems - thanks

i have this rom installed an love it. however, almost everytime the phone dies or reboots it goes right into recovery.the only way i can get it back up is to delete dalvik-cache and restart. then i have the long boot time but it works again....until the next die or reboot. its very annoying. is there a fix for this?? i have xionia cwma recovery (not digging that either) i wish i can use the amon ra recovery for htc evo 4G so simple and easy to use.

I have never heard of such a thing. Have you been running Dante long? Any other mods flashed in?

i had reborn rom installed but it would keep freezing upon starting the phone so i installed dante rom. although i like it as i said it keep booting to recovery all the time. im not fond of the xiona recovery anyway. i have an evoo with amon ra and i love it but i know it wont work on the optimus. also when i rooted the phone i had errors but it still rooted. can i re-root the phone again?? how?? also, i want dark tremors installed so apps go to sd card cause of low memory on the phone but xiona wont partition the card correctly?? i also cant upgrade ext2 to ext3?? can you help me redo this phone so it might work properly?? hopefully lol

I have to say that after literally 2 years of being too lazy to figure out a little code mishap when trying to root zvj i had zvd rooted and for some odd reason went back to stock for another year completely forgetting about the wonderful world of rooting (weird ikr) and just two days ago I rooted the ZVD then today i remembered wait ZVj rooting is out there too and boom on my first try had zvj rooted immediately went out to look for some custom Roms found yours got great feedback from other people using your ROM so I decided to flash it and im in love with it now <3 i really doubt I'm switching Roms for a long time even for an official clockworkmod ROM. Also I'd like to point out that even though the ROM is already pretty fast at least for me on my lg optimus s zvj of coarse, I also flashed the amphetamines Version 2 and this phone I have to say is like a speeding bullet it easily rivals the speed of my dads Samsung Google Nexus S and almost as fast in response and other uses as the Samsung Galaxy S3 I almost shed a tear for thinking about throwing this dang phone at a wall after installing your ROM and the amphetamines it made my life so much better xD thank you so much for making this ROM!!! Even though I have only had it for a day so far it looks like I don't need the dalvik2dev (yet) unless you somehow fixed that problem by now and I haven't seen the post.

I have ONE question though for the Battery Bar Setting's app once I change an option in there do I need to reboot the phone? I haven't seen any of the changes I picked..

Overall though best Rom I've had so far

Though I have a question.. well more like a statement my appstore after being installed and flashed keeps forceclosing saying (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexoectedly everything else works fine

No modifications at all whatsoever just flashed it turned on and that's what happened I didn't mess with anything other than just flashing the ROM and the flashable playstore you had linked

Also I am wondering if you have enough time sometime and are willing to help check out my thread and see if you can help me out I kinda bricked my phone after wanting to check out CM9 by TheKraven and decided to go back to your ROM my post has more info, thanks again in advance

Help please this doesn't make any sense I flashed DanteRom and I lost my root! I didn't know that could happen!
How do i regain root access? Will the root tutorials in the stickies work? Needles to say I'm really confused

I am having the same problem. I have 2 Optimus S phones. The purple one rooted and flashed the rom just fine. The grey one rooted fine but lost root after flashing. Restoring my backup rooted stock rom restores root. Reflashing DanteRom loses it again.

Running Optiauto again just messes it up further and creates a strange and unstable stock/DanteRom hybrid.
