ROMs and kernels you use or recommend?

Re: What ROM's and/or kernels are you currently using?

Using the Viper ROM_RC1.3 and RCMix Kernel running at 1.5 GHz. Battery life has improved thanks to the OC Daemon. I'm loving this ROM! :)

Re: What ROM's and/or kernels are you currently using?

I currently have 2 ROMs that I swap between (currently testing which I prefer the most) by swapping between nandroid backups.

1) viperROM RC1.3

and

2) Synergy 3Dvo r309 w/ Ziggy OC kernel

Wait until next week, viperROM RC2.0 is coming out with a custom kernel that will be both fast and great on the battery. I've tried many and it is the best sense rom I have ever used.

Will have to give viperROM 2.0 when it comes out. I have seen some good posts on it. I love CleanROM 1.3 that I am currently using. Good to have options if I feel like a different user experience. :)

Re: Best ROM for Speed and Battery?

Cleanrom 1.3... No BW, and itnruns smooth... Battery life is good also.

Re: Best ROM for Speed and Battery?

Im running the Viper Rom- RC1.3 and the Netarchy Silverneedle Kernel. Using the ViperControl Ive got my Max Clock speed at 1.7ghz and im getting battery life of 19 to 23 hours depending on use. With those battery times im using it a fair amount. Its not just sitting and not being used.

Re: Best ROM for Speed and Battery?

I switched from NO LIGHTS Kernel to Silverneedle. Battery life is noticeably better.

I will have to check our silverneedle as I am currently running nolights with very good battery life. Think I will do this before the next version of CleanROM comes out based on the new HTC update available today.

OMJ EVO ZONE 8-16-11 with the No Lights (dimmed buttons) kernal and running flawlessly!

Re: Best ROM for Speed and Battery?

Running viperRom here. Currently at 10 hours off the charger and I'm at 51% on the battery with moderate usage today. I've also used the silverneedle kernel but I can't decide if it helped or not. One day good next day not too good with same usage. I've taken it off for now and all is good.

Re: Ready to root. Which rom is best with Sense and 4G working?

I was going to root this weekend but now this update is out. I haven't downloaded it, but how do I get the new features if I root?

I think most the ROMs get updated and they update it. Don't do the update because then you can't root with a kernel

I'm a huge fan of viperROM. But watch out with using the silverneedle kernel with it. When you reboot the phone the oc daemon stops running and none of your min/max setting are saved. After a reboot go into the vc via the terminal emulator and check it out. It actually happens with most of the kernels besides the stock one. The ROM dev made his own kernel that he said works flawlessly with the ROM but now that 2.3.4 came out he can't update it until the new kernel source is out. I am running 1.3 with stock kernel until the new RC2 version of the rom comes out in a few days. Then he will update it with his new kernel after he gets the source code and can make the changes to it.
