Just installed the latest RUU (non root) on a rooted device and now I have it all fixed and working.
Over in MikMik land, someone posted how to install the latest untouched RUU Gingerbread build on a rooted tbolt.
Basically, install the latest hboot bootloader as a PG05IMG.zip. What this does is keep any RUU or other app from messing w/ the unlocked bootloader. Yup... it works as designed.
Then, rename the RUU to the PG05IMG.zip and flash on hboot.
Delete the zip.
Then, clockworkmod (CWR4.0.1.5)PG05IMG.zip) and flash on hboot.
Delete the zip.
Then, delete and install the su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip in recovery.
Finally, install BusyBox installer via the market.
Note. You might want to disable fastboot and tell the annoying WiFi that you want to turn it on - otherwise, you will think root is broken.
