Interesting... I didn't do a factory reset on mine and it seems OK. What kind of screwy behavior did you notice?I can confirm this works for the T-Mobile version. I would definitely recommend a factory reset after the process. My G4 was acting a little screwy after the process but all was fixed after the reset.

Glad to hear the G4 performs so well as a phone against the competition. I don't need my phone to run a business, but need it to communicate with family and friends. I use it more as a phone than a computer most of the time. My last phone was a Samsung Convoy 3 flip phone. I had stayed with flip phones because I didn't really need the added expense of the data plan, Smartphone line charge, upfront cost, and short battery life. But another important reason was my mistaken perception that a flip phone is a dedicated phone, and would be better at reception and voice quality - wrong! My wife's older LG Accolade has better reception than my Convoy, and better voice quality, and found most of my friend's smart phones were no worse (depending on their network). Based on the call quality/reception of my wife's LG, I decided to give the G4 a go. I didn't have the money (or time) to go out and try a bunch of other phones, and happy to hear your trial and error conclusions were what I took a leap of faith with. The LG G4 is of the best phone I've ever had. I've had iphone samsung, sony and htc. We are talking about the latest one of 2015. The LG G4 has way better reception on the Telstra net work by far OF ALL PHONE. I travel a lot around victoria as I'm a trades person and run a pest control business.
I'm so happy with the reception that it blows me away. Also the other bonus the speaker phone and mic on this beat all phone. I WILL GIVE YOU A EXAMPLE OF THE PHONE I'VE HAD THE Samsung3, Note 4 and the S5, 6edge, Iphones the s5,6 and the Iphone 6plus. The list goes on.
I change my phones like change my pants. The LG G4 does the most important part of what a phone need to do is make calls and receive call, this does it with flying colours.
No more drop out of calls or bad reception. Also the phone as a smart phone really impress me as it great to use and very responsive it's as good as the note 3 or 4 for a smart phone. Buy it if you need to run a business as it will make you money.
