Problem being that rooting and ROMing brings its own set of problems.
For every person complaining about issues on the stock device, you'll see 2 more of people complaining about bugs in their custom ROM. Its a tradeoff, rooting and using a custom ROM isn't a magical unicorn that fixes everything and is perfect.
I have rooted all of my android devices but have never tried an alternate ROM and have no desire to do so.
Installing a new ROM is not a fix and lots of people simply want their devices to work well out of the box.

I see so many people with questions, etc...9 times out of 10 I say, well I can do that etc...now that I have rooted. Just sayin'
Such as launching the camera makes the phone reboot, not doing it correctly turning their phone into a brick, having apps that used to work no longer working, etc.

Have you formed your opinion by actually flashing a custom rom and experienced those issues firsthand?
These roms are made by experienced developers and they know their stuff. One app that I have had trouble with is MyVerizon...but there are easy workarounds to fix. Eveything is working fine on my phone.
Flashing stuff on this phone and screwing up is super easy to fix with a nandroid backup. Plus with fastboot this phone is 99.9999% unbrickable.
Too many people complaining about this and that. Do yourself a favor and root your phone. There are plenty of custom ROMs out there that may solve some of your issues. I highly, highly recommend it.
I don't want the responsibility of rooting, especially if you go with custom ROM's. My phone just works stock. Also, you shouldn't have to root to have a phone that "just works" or to fix basic functionality. If that's the case, there is something inherently broken with the phone. Finally, working in the IT field and a background of defense in depth (layered security); I'm concerned with removing the "layer of security" that rooting may cause (removing the limited user/least privilege, thus running as a full administrator).
No can do. Read my tag line.

1. I already stated I have never nor have a desire to try an alternate ROM.
2. The phones are built with software created by experienced developers and they have problems.
You have never and will never root your phone, yet you know they have problems. Right on, man. Just trying to suggest something that will make the device better for those who whine (not necessarily you) and complain about..."I wish it did this...,etc."
