Rooted Archos Tablet resets factory settings every reboot, how can I stop it doing this?

Rooted Archos Tablet resets factory settings every reboot

Okay so I got a present of a tablet, had it a few days and then rooted it using Kingo Root, it then started resetting factory settings every time I turned it on/off.
I unrooted it, cleared the cache, cleared the data and still nothing. So I brought it back to the store thinking it was faulty, they replaced it and the new one was working fine, until I tried rooting it again using the same application and now it's happening all over again.
I've tried everything I could find onine. I'm really starting to freak out because I can't keep any applications without them getting wiped every time the tablet turns off.
Somebody please help me! I've never rooted anything ever so I haven't got a clue what I'm doing. Please don't suggest flashing because I really don't want to brick it.

I would take it back again and the find another way to root.
