Go there. It has people more knowledgeable about your particular phone.

Did you resolve it yet? The link posted by Newboy will get you root access through an app. You can actually install the recovery and what not later if you are in a hurry. The app should take a few minutes to go through the process and get you rooted.

i think it work the phone just rebooted im going to put superuser on it and put on a custom rom

Hi get the same error at step 5 and i can't seem to figure out what it wrong. I have the Dell Venue 2.2.2 Froyo. Have tried superoneclick various versions and tried it many different ways to no avail. Can someone please help?

provide the steps you were following... was it Dell Venue specific?
