Rooting today? [let me help you!]

when i try to start adb from the cmd it just says adb.exe is not a valid win32 application. I'm running windows7 64-bit though....

Let me follow this. Am I close?

1. Installed SE(Java)
2. Installed SDK
3. Installed HTC USB Drivers

So that in itself is the requirement to root a phone? corect?

The next part is to get a ROM? or A Flash? Which?

After rooting, how do you go back to orginal software? Or is that not available?

Rooting allows you to get rid of Bloat, S-Off, or install customization someone else made.

What are the diff of someones image vs kernal?

I maybe crossing different parts together.. But tryign to get a grasp. Will be first time to root.

Be gentle... I keep reading all this differnet links, but haven't pieced it all together in my mind.

Upstream you charge for your remote Root?

Can you guys tell

What ROM are you running?

How did you get Quadrant to display the break down of the score?

I get the following message when using Easy root. I plug in my phone and hit step 1. Not sure if Im missing something, but anyone no what I do from here?

Choose the bootloader option and press POWER. Let the ROM flash. When asked to upgrade, choose yes (Press VOLUME UP). This will take a while and your device may reboot, allow it to happen. You will be presented with a screen saying you device is updating.

I chose 'zipalign on boot' from the spare parts included in the rom, and the icons/widgets on my homescreen were deleted again after re-boot?

Is it going to do this everytime?

upstream, i was wondering if i could gtalk with you sometime today to get some help. I'm not new to rooting, just using adb. When it comes to that, i'm clueless
