Rooting, Warranty, Insurance??

I'm aware that rooting my Xoom will void the Mfg. Warranty, but does anyone know if it effects the insurance I pay monthly for from Verizon. No point in giving Verizon $12 a month if they won't replace the device anyways. I can't seem to find an answer on this; Might have to bite the bullet and talk to Verizon first hand.

They might not choose to cover it if it is rooted, but how will they ever know? Xoom stops working file an insurance claim on a lost or stolen device. Covered the same as a broken device and you don't have to produce said device.
