Rumor 4.0.5 in april

i think there is confusion about custom roms. I will be one of the first to admit that they add a ton of cool tweaks to the os. They also add a ton of scripts (with questionable benefits). However, adding a toggle pull-down is NOT the same as fixing bugs in the 4.0.x source. OTA SHOULD mean something to you as I'm sure it means a lot to the rom developers....Do you really believe that college students adding tweaks/scripts are able to produce a more bug-free version of the os than Google's engineers who WROTE it?

Well sort of. Cm9 is pretty stable but those guys are pros

I bought the vzw gnex for vanilla android and faster updates. Not to flash roms left and right. An vzw nexus I jumped on like the G1, vanilla Android. I bought a nexus so I won't flash roms that wont work right. My tbolt won't work with asop like I want. Also Im about to kill this fing ics keyboard it suxs.

Has anyone found any information on whether those of us on the leaked 4.0.4 stock OTA should revert back to 4.0.2 prior to 4.0.5 being released? I am not rooted but the device is unlocked.

We should not have to revert back to 4.0.2 to flash this update, and we should receive it OTA just like any other 4.0.2 phone. The reason for this is while it was an unofficial update it is still a stock ROM from google and should pick up OTAs as such.

When the very expensive desktop dock was first made public I entered a backorder with Samsung, then a couple of weeks ago received an email from Samsung that it was available only to see that it was completely pulled from the Samsung website. I called Samsung to ask WTF and was told the dock was released prematurely and would be available after the upcoming ICS update.

Well my problem is the space bar placement. I've learned it but I still hit either the b, c, or home button. I wish the space bar was a few pixels bigger.

but I do that with swiftkey too...I hit the ? all the time instead of the spacebar...wish it was a bit more customizable.

I really don't feel like reading through 8 pages so I'm gonna be lazy and ask... Is there anyway that anyone knows of to save root on this update?

I'm using stock 4.0.1 bell gnex. I have had no issues at all. I couldn't care if I don't get a .0.x update to be honest.
Was a rooter with s2 lte but don't feel the need to with this beut.

The updates better be earth shattering.

Earth shattering? Hardky. Its a pount release. Will have some bug fixes and maybe a minor performance boost. Hopefully it will fix the terrible radio but im not holding my breath on that One.

Yeah, I will be happy if the signal gets boosted a little and they fix data dropping.

Do you guys think it'll fix screeching sound and microphone cutting out during phone calls?
What about constant download errors and the clock updating while the phone is asleep? The alarm failed to wake me up on 2 of the replacements I had.

I hope it improves performance. Not that the nexus doesn't perform well already, I would just like to see the keyboard lag stop and some other bug fixes.
