I'm not understanding by what you mean, "you cycled your battery twice". Is this something I should be doing to increase my battery life?

I believe what he meant was charge the battery fully, then use the device until it powers itself off.
People used to do this with ni-cad batteries because of memory issues. Li-ion batteries used in a large majority of devices today, do not have the memory issue. So no, cycling the battery is not required for anything but testing the battery.

Here are my screen shots from today... What am I doing wrong here? Looking through this thread I see so many people where the screen is taking up the majority of their battery, they have 3+ hours of screen on time, and they are still getting 12+ hours of battery life... As you can see, I am not even approaching that.

Hey there justlaxin13, that looks exactly like my screen shot!! I fully charged my battery on Sat. night then turned the phone back on and turned the screen off so it was in hibernate mode (this is the only phone I have so it needs to stay on) then this morning without really doing anything (no calls, no texts & no downloads) the battery has discharged to 13%! Now I'm getting signals & messages to charge the battery and it is only 12:45pm! ALL I CAN SAY IS WTF!!!

I agree One King, see my post to justlaxin13. It looks like another trip to the AT&T store to get things straitened out.
Let me know how that goes cause im almost ready to do the same thing. My battery is just horrible!

Im glad to get about 6-7 hours with mine. Cell Standby is always at the top with about 40-50% with 4-5 bars of signal. Do you think i should get a replacement?

What is going to at&t gonna do? Have you had experience with them helping with the before. I feel like they tend to assume users don't know things and give the "well yeah, with heavy usage this phone will go through a battery" and it doesn't help to tell them "look, 1.5 hours of screen on time isn't heavy use" because of the clientele they are used to dealing with.

Battery life sucks. Absolutely horrendous. I just don't get it. I wish android was more efficient in managing the system and apps.

I'm at nearly 8 hours and 74%. Granted I left on charge over night but from 7 am I've been on it texting,facebook,you tube,AC,taking pics. I found if you charge it properly then the battery is sufficient enough to whole day and a half.
Each to there own I suppose.

I guess I happen to have a "super" device with ATT. GSam shows my avg. battery life to be 24 hrs exactly. At work I have LTE at home wifi and 4G. I do use Juice Defender Ultimate and have 4 email accounts, constantly use WhatsApp, txt, Google reader, etc...
Same usage on my Skyrocket (also with JuiceDefender Ultimate) resulted in 10-12 hours battery life. With that device I changed batteries every day and I had the extended batteries.
I, for one, could not be happier with the battery life. For years all I wanted is a phone that lasts through a full day.
