S-OFF Achieved for Permanent Root (AlphaRev Team)

I was very disappointed in HTC for locking the phone down so tight (to the point of nearly returning it) but I am glad the devs are out there letting these devices be all they can be?next I hope someone can remove the jpeg compression from the camera (it?s not like the phone is short on storage).

thanks guys, im starting to understand more what all of this means. sounds like once its all in place and ready, should be fairly idiot-proof.

btw, there is a Gingerbread leak out there for the Dinc2. The guys at XDA are saying do not update to it if you want to root and mod. It disables the temp root and s-off abilities for now.

Old news, it is already posted in the forums here. Even if you click the more info link it brings you back to the ROM's op in the forums here.

I think he was pointing out that this thread made headlines on another website he frequents... I could be wrong but I can't see another reason to post a link about the exact thing this thread is about otherwise

Its the second time I've seen him do this. Seemed redundant to me too.

It is legitimate for the incredible s. Still not for us dinc 2 users.
Some people just don't get that the dinc s and dinc 2 are different.

Its been a week and a half already, I'm starting to go insane waiting (Coo coo coo coo). I bet AC is getting 50 hits a day from me alone checking back to see if it released. XDA too, since I think maybe AC just hasn't got it yet!
I check it before I check facebook!!!

No, it's not available to us yet. It will be a pretty big deal when it's released so you'll hear about it soon after.

It would be awesome if AlphaRev would release this for us by or on Independence Day! Let us have our independence.
