S-pen is cheaply made

Well it is plastic so I wouldn't be spraying WD-40 on a 800 dollar phone's stylus....

Lol. The pen is probably worth 2 dollars. I sprayed wd in the clicker hoping to lube the METAL spring inside the pen and clear out any dust that may have gotten inside.

Spraying with WD-40 probably didn't do much to lube your clicker. It's great at dispersing water (the WD part) but not much of a lube. It wears away pretty quickly with any friction.

Well replacement pens could be from 20-45 dollars so...

I have replaced 4 S-pens because the tops bend and eventually break off with what I consider routine usage. I've even gone as far as to rebuild and reinforce a broken S-pen with a metal Bobby pen and gorilla glue.

Mount Blanc offered a Mount Blanc pen with the S pen hardware in place of the fountain pen guts. For around only $700.00 you could have the finest S pen Stylus in the world. :-!

I believe that Note's 5 s-pen is in very good quality. I am using it all the time and I have no problems at all. It's light, convenient and precise.
