Hey guys. My S10 just crashed out on me. My phone was super low on storage. I switched the wallpaper to a moving one and the screen just went black. The only option that works is holding the power button to display the power off and restart functions. Although I was able to go to my camera because my phone was unlocked. Tried the resets but didn't work.

I'm thinking of going to Recovery Mode to wipe the cache partition to free up some space. Maybe that will fix the issue. What do you guys think? And are there any other solutions? Could I remove some files in Recovery Mode? Use ODIN to wipe out some data? And I am not going to factory reset... I just charged my phone to almost full capacity so now I have to wait for it to die out and open it into Recovery Mode. Are there any other solutions please?

The reason for the crash was definitely because I was super low on storage. I'm sure of it. and the moving wallpaper crashed it and it can't load the moving wallpaper because the storage is too low. I also can't get into Reset Mode.

Hi and thank you.
Well, my phone has to be powered off first, which it can't be done manually because (I presume) the powering off doesn't work due to it not loading properly. The function is there, it's just that when clicking on it, it crashes and goes back to a black screen. I would have to wait for it to power off by itself. What could I do with the Download Mode to fix this? Am I able to delete specific files and apps through it?

Welcome
Download mode can flash the stock firmware with odin

Wouldn't it restore it to its factory settings if I did that? I haven't used Odin in a long time, I only used it to restore it from Android 10 or 11? to 9 or 10. I forgot. But I've only ever used it to restore the version.

Well we can try to restore first without factory reset which u will use Home CSC not regular CSC in odin slot , still have to fill in BL ,AP,CP also

international version. also the phone has to be powered off first, which it can't done manually.

Won't work. I think the phone has to be powered off completely for it go be able to go into Recovery Mode or Download Mode. It's still on. I can't power if off manually. I guess we just have to wait until the phone is out of battery. It's going to take hours. Sorry man

Try those 3 buttons longer then 5 seconds or power button by itself for 30 seconds if still same then have to wait it out

Yeah. Think we're going to have to wait it out until it dies off. Then I'll recharge and select those buttons. I'll try recovery mode first though to wipe out the cache partition to free up space to see if it'll load then switch to Download Mode if it doesn't work. Will Download Mode really help fix my phone? Would it delete any files? Last time I remember using Download Mode and Odin, it wiped everything.

Dont know if it will fix it but worth a try , it wint if you keep home cscs in that CSC in odin , if that doesn't work then u will ose your data abd try to recover your device with regular CSC

Also, if it's any easier, I already have the firmware files like AP, BL, CP, CSC, HOMECSC, etc... I forgot what to do with them though. I got them from the official samsung website or whatever, it's been a while.

Put in the corresponding slots in odin
Bl firmware place in Bl Odin
Ap firmware place Ap Odin
CP in cp Odin
Csc home in csc odin then hit start
