S22 pictures..show us what you got!

Tonight's best captures. My camera is reaaaaaaaaly slow now in trying to focus. Like on the spider it took 5-6 seconds before it wouls focus at all, and it seems like the exposure is lasting longer, even with the slider turned down to the left. Moon is getting harder to capture as well as it feels like when you get it in the aperture, it feels like it gets "pushed" and you end up with a blurry unfocused mess. Before I could just go and let it focus for a moment and settle on the "best shot" circle snd get a good image. Now it feels like it bounces around more trying to get it centered on "best shot" and seems to take a whole lot longer to focus than before.

Either that or I'm just tired and I thought it looked worse than it ended up.

12x zoom from inside the door. Had a buddy hanging out with it under the apple tree. Tried to sneak out onto the porch for a closer shot, but alas, both flew away.

Not sure what kind of moth this is, but love the yellow and peach. Finding 10x zoom to be the real sweet spot for most of what I do. I post a lot but it's hard to pass good subjects up when they come.

According to Google Lens, that there is a Rosy Maple Moth. Nice pic.

Sweet. First time I've seen one like that. Seen a Luna moth in my front porch a few years ago and one of our local meteorologists said that is a pretty uncommon sight for our area. Total wingspan was as wide as my hand if not a touch wider.

Good morning, Perseus. Cassiopeia just above. Orion was sooooo close to being visible, if not for the tree line.

Some more shenanigans. Seems like there is always something to catch round here. Played a dangerous game at 10x up close with the wasps, but they never made a threat to sting. Then saw another moth of some kind with spots so had to capture it. Ans then taking my garbage can back from the road I decided to snap a pic of a common fly just to see what it would do on a whim. And I gotta say, these S22 cameras are just fantastic. My hands were shaking most of the time and it handled it like a champ. Everything at 10x zoom. Fly was originally upside down, so added an inverted edit for it.

I said it yesterday but I post A LOT. This camera system is just so fun to use so it's hard to pass up sometimes even some of the most mundane things. And I'm finding this mobile photography stuff to be something quite relaxing and distracting to help me with my anxiety. I tend to forget all about my anxiety when I'm out snapping pictures. Definitely go through some mulligans for sure, bur the good turn outs make it well worth it.
