S22 pictures..show us what you got!

Another collection of bugs. Plant hopper was too small to do 10x and get focused so went with 3x instead.

The others came by surprise and somehow even though it was dark and on 10x by default, it still managed to make a good capture considering how quixk they were to move. Got what appears to be a Tulip Tree Beauty on my leg and a Bordered Straw on my arm.

I like the glowing eyes on the moths ... Adds a creepiness to them LOL

These guys made it pretty challenging but it was worth it. Moth was straight overhead. Butterfly just fluttered around for a bit till it decided on a couple places to sit still.

Got a couple more from last night that I'll upload in a separate post in a minute since file size is too big for them all.

Butterfly is a Red Spotted purple butterfly, and the moth is an Inkblot Palpita.

Summer evening swim in the river Spey under Craigellachie Bridge, Aberlour , Scotland.

One of genius Scottish engineer Thomas Telford's , built in 1814 from cast iron.View attachment 347403View attachment 347404

Love that castle-like feature leading to the bridge. I wanted to say spire, but that's not the right term I don't think. That thing looks like it's holding up better than a lot of today's bridges. Love old architecture like that on the right. Picture perfect hill and riverside.

Wow! Gorgeous and detailed photos!

Apparently this dude likes me. Followed me around on the porch. Perched on my knee for about 20 minutes, then I set my hand down and he perched on my finger for about 10 more minutes.

I think they are called siege towers. I would call them rooks though

Not sure what the big rounded one is, but the tiny one I think is a subtype of Orb Weaver. These two were my biggest challenges given their size.

One thing I'm picking up on is if you have something small you are trying to photo, get something larger in the background to help the camera focus. I tried to snap the tiny one straight through the space in between the porch pickets and it just blurred out and didnt even notice the spider. But when I turned around and angled towards the post, it brought it into focus. I figure as small as thst one is, these are probably the most detail I would have been able to get.

Fantastic shot!! I like the sound of siege towers, that sounds bad*** lol
Scotland is known as being pretty badas$ , especially around that time.

Telford was definitely a genius though. The Menai was built by him just after this little bridge .

Boggles my mind the engineering going on in the early 1800's. A whole 80 years before the behemoth of the Forth Bridge.

Slightly OT . But I like to take the odd badly framed , blurry picture.

Now the fold has finally got a half decent lens, anyone swayed ?

I'm thinking about it. As always , very annoyed with the pis$ taking price and lack of incentives here in blighty .

If I didn't have a 36 month agreement when I traded in my S9 for my 22, I'd give the new fold a shot. Or course that price I'd pretty steep so that would be a potential hanger for me.
