Just took real slow steps and no sudden movements. Pulled my phone around slowly and got up about a foot from it and used 10x zoom

Female horse fly(more distinctly separated eyes.) Male horse fly, eyes meet wirh less off a distinguishing separation. The females are known to be bitters and can be quite painful. But this one was docile.

Blue mud dobber caught after waiting 10 minutes for it to settle down.
