S22 Ultra Battery Poor

I think chrome is a battery hog also

Absolutely. Even when I deny working in the background and whatever else i can think of to limit its use of battery, it still winds up high on the list of apps in battery use, and is still working a lot in the background. I wouldn't call it a major problem, but it sure seems like it uses more juice than it should.

Still getting Excellent Battery life on June Patch AT&T S22 Ultra 5G Snapdragon 512GB. So not sure why some here are getting horrible Battery Life.

Why not disable Chrome and use the Samsung internet browser?

Yeah same here

Synced passwords and all that...at least for me. When I use Chrome on my phones it's a seamless transition from my desktop where a plethora of passwords have been saved.

...in short?

Convenience.

In my case I use Samsung browser instead of Chrome because I use Enpass password manager on both PC and mobile devices. As a result, that syncs my passwords on every device I use.

I use Samsung Internet Browser simply because it's the best browser for the Note.

Chrome is irritating with it's plain layout where you can't get an option of a menu bar on the bottom of the screen and customize with a bookmark icon to easily pop up a list of your favs along with your choice of most used icons (for me a simple home button and a page forward button since you can just swipe right to go back a page)... all at a thumbs reach when holding and truely being able to browse one handed.

My preferred desktop browser for my Windows machines or Macbook Air is Firefox so I keep all my passwords stored within FireFox.

And I install FireFox Lockwise on my S22U and it is always synced with my passwords and set it as my default password manager on my S22U AND even my iPad Pro where my preferred browser of choice is Safari so always have access to my passwords.

So, no problems having different preferred browsers on different platforms and have my passwords avail on all. But Samsung Internet Browser is the best browser for Android. :)

Just tho i share this the section where you can put apps deep sleep or sleep it's a gimmick, i have had that section disabled, and still get fantastic battery life 11hrs SOT with that disabled , also basically that is also what caused the issues on certain apps sleeping where people are crashing there app , or any app issues, so I've always disabled that section since Note20 Ultra 5G Snapdragon which i still have that phone as well, just thought i let people know

Will a factory reset help?

Attached is today's stats. AwfulView attachment 345781
Your problem does not seem to be your battery. It shows you still have 18 hours left with 3 hours already used; 21 hours total. That is not horribly bad and a factory reset will not necessarily change your battery statistics. What will most likely give you better battery life is adjusting your settings. Read the advice & tips that have already been shared in this thread. Judging by your status bar, you also seem to have several apps that are actively set to give you notifications. That will also use lots of battery bc those apps are constantly working in the background.

I am pretty happy with my battery life. I have unlocked S22 ultra on T mobile on May patch. These are current battery readings. Screenshot_20220623-165731_Device%20care.jpgScreenshot_20220623-163906_Device%20care.jpg

Actually it is always battery hogger so i disable it plus Chrome is garbage i use Samsung Internet, best browser.
Facebook is another battery hogger so i don't use it since it's garbage as well.

I use Microsoft Edge. Love it. Samsung internet is solid too.

I dont get it. I have a Verizon 512gb S22 Ultra and it has the same battery life as my previous s21 ultra which got pretty solid battery life. This one is garbage and idk how anyone is getting 10 Hrs of SOT and what not. How that's even possible is beyond me. Fake news.

Then I see people say well turn it down to FHD+, why? I have to sacrifice features just to get better battery life? Then some are blaming the signal and to turn off 5G, why? SO i have to get slower data on my phone and yet I am paying to get 5G & LTE as such. Ridiculous. I've had the same phone since launch too. Its beyond battery adjustment phase.

I've done everything the same as on my previous phone and battery life is even worse. Makes no sense.

Its hard to say , you can have 2 identical vehicles with same horsepower rating produce different horsepower on a Dyno everything the same , maybe some batteries are better then others out the gate from factory ,my theory could be wrong.
