S22 Ultra Battery Poor

Its hard to say , you can have 2 identical vehicles with same horsepower rating produce different horsepower on a Dyno everything the same , maybe some batteries are better then others out the gate from factory ,my theory could be wrong.

I was debating on going through warranty with Verizon but dont know how much good it will do to get a replacement.

Yeah cant force them to give a whole new one though. And no im not doing the 85% battery cut off. Then I'll barely get through a day. Doesn't make sense to me.
Take a look at your battery stats see anything not normal there and use AccuBattery app to further look into more menu's

I have found, for me, switching it up from time to time between 100 and 85 and not going down beyond 20-30% gives me better battery life overall.

It all comes down to how you use your phone. Most people can't turn on all of the S22 Ultra's best features and consistently get great battery life. 5G, 120Hz, WQHD+, SD8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200. I just (I guess from experience) don't expect thw greatest battery from an Android phone with all the S22U's trimmings but I've been fine making the little compromises and love the phone. I know what great battery life is because I've had an iPhone 13 Pro Max but great-great battery life isn't worth being bored to death and after having an Note 22 Ultra I'm spoiled.

I keep 5G, 120Hz, WQHD+ on. I always have enough to get through the day with plenty to spare, so I want to use my phone to its full capability. Yes, I have strong 5G where I live.

I'm usually near a charger so I can typically charge. Mine usually doesn't get below 30% but even that's rare.

I just plop it on a wireless charger if needed, but same with mine rarely getting that low.

Most of the time that is the same for me too... have a charger nearby so battery is usually not an issue.

But the last few weeks I've been flying and on the road on business and really tested my phone when you start the day flying out from FTL to Philly, get in a rental and drive a couple of hours to Delaware using Google maps to get me everywhere and then working and not getting a chance to stand in one place long enough to fully charge until I get to my hotel room in the evenings.

So in the last few weeks of traveling I've found my phone battery to be OK... but not impressive. I don't think anyone can compare it to 13 Pro Max level but I don't see anyone comparing it to that level anyways. I say compared to my Note 20 Ultra it's about the same... no better... no worse.

But still enjoying the S22U and worth the $250 it cost me to upgrade... for me the camera upgrade was worth it and got a bonus with the FPS being worlds better and can rely on it 100% compared to my N20U and Note 8.

A little off topic but I've seen in here Chrome appears to be a battery hog, ans others have gone to other browsers like Samsung Internet and seem to have done better. For those of you who did that, abour how much more life in terms of hours and screen on time are you getting by going from Chrome to Samsung Internet?

Reason I ask rhis is because while I'm getting DECENT battery life on my regular S22 WITH throttling(location off, screen down to 30% brightness or so, lots of infrequently but occasionally used apps to deep sleep, standard screen refresh, Mobile Data/WiFi off, whichever of the two is not being used at the time), no gaming. But I feel like I should be getting longer with all that throttling. I can't help but wonder if it may be Chrome that is eating away at the battery, as I use Chrome 4-6 hours on a single given full charge and don't do much streaming or video watching outside of perhaps 15-30 minutes of YouTube per day-- I use my roku TV for my streaming needs.

My battery life is, arguably, poor. However, it's mostly my fault with using a pretty bright screen during the day, processing speed set at high, and until this coming October, working in a very warm environment. For the most part, if I'm driving (which is most of the day), I'm charging. I use the protect battery setting so I only top off at 85%. Once I'm there, I unplug until I reach about 40%, give or take.

Hi I paid a lot of money for this phone and that battery life is very poor as you can see in the image. How is it possible to make the battery life better?View attachment 345191

I think the same but my battery life isn't better. On my S22U Exynos I've in FULL BATTERY SAVING MODE, 6hrs. Others in the Netherlands (SamsungMakers) they get more than 12hours SOT. It's very weird.

For a test, charge your phone to 100% and disable your WQHD+ resolution, 120Hz, Always On Display, .... Disable apps in Settings/Apps which you don't need.

With the above explanation I get only 6hrs in the July update. It's very sad
