Been a Note user for years. Love my S22 Ultra but preordered Fold 4 (my first fold).
I have to say, I have never been this excited about a phone in a very long time.
I hope I won't be disappointed!

I dont think you'll be disappointed, i wasn't when i got the Fold ³ totally different from whats out there and compact size is still my favorite device

You probably will love it. Just being upfront, be prepared for the narrow front screen. Keep in mind it's not intended for long term use, that's what the inside screen is for. The front screen is intended for quick one handed use such as replying to text messages, emails and such. I use the front screen for quick things when I know I'm not going to be deep diving into anything. Quick glances at Facebook and stuff.

Also, please do not compare the fold 4 camera to the S22U everyone should know that the cameras are not the same. The inside screen camera is not going to be high quality pictures, it's intended for video calls, use the front screen camera for selfies if you do that. From what I've seen the rear cameras have been updated and are reviewing good.

I love the fold phones, this will be my third one. If you come into it knowing about the camera and narrow screen I think you will also. Just give time to adjust to the narrow screen as you're used to the big wide screen, there's a learning curve, specially typing on it. You're going to love opening the phone for the big screen.

Hope I didn't scare you off, be excited, this is a very nice device.

Thanks!
I heard the camera is now the same camera in S22 and S22+ but yes S22 Ultra camera is more advanced. Camera is important to me but the upgrade to put it at the same level as the S22 should be good.
The narrow screen is the trick I think.
Ya not sure how typing on that big screen going to go.

I was nervous as well when switching from N20U. Now, that I have used F3 about a year, i don't think I'll ever go back to tradition phone. You'll love F4.

Despite my resistance to move from the S22 Ultra, I keep tinkering around to see what deal I can get. Getting more tempting with this current offer...Screenshot_20220821-174732_Shop%20Samsung.jpg

How did you get it this low? The highest trade in value is $1000.

I can get $65 for trading in an old spare galaxy watch as a second device trade-in. Plus, I still have $250 promo code from my S22 Ultra pre-order that I never used.

I recognize it's a hell of a deal. And I realize I can transition back to the S23 ultra pretty easily in 6-7 months if I'm not about the Fold and smaller outside screen/no pen slot. It also seems like a higher maintenance device to stay protected and damage free

Sorry to switch gears, but that's my worry to. I usually don't buy insurance, but I'm considering Samsung Care + for my new Fold... Anyone know how much it is for the Fold?

My Fold 3 original screen protector and flip cover and like brand new condition , yes you want be little more careful but you get use to lot of things once you use it more and more , I can understand hesitation but the Fold 3 is my favorite device which is saying a lot for not knowing 100 percent what I was walking into at the time of purchase. Very tempting though lol

I'm excited to try this fold out myself. My biggest gripe with it was always the lack of built in Spen but with that free case and as cheap as it was I'm jumping in. Plus that beige......good lawd!!

I think it's $11 month. The fold is not as fragile at some make it out to be. If you're one that drops their phones all the time it will break just like any other phone.

I buy the insurance on the fold 3 and fold 4, had it on the fold 2 also because it is newer technology with screen bending. So far I don't think it's that big of an issue. I just like the piece of mind, I've been carrying insurance since the S20 series. Having samsung premium has a bonus besides just breakage, it also is who you deal with warranty issues. If you've ever dealt with Samsung direct, you will know that dealing with the insurance company is a huge benefit. Samsung customer care sucks

I use the Spen a lot more with it attached to the side of the phone case. I never used it when it was in a silo. Plus it's bigger and feels like a normal pen.
