S23 ultra

I really enjoy using my S22 Ultra 512 GB, for me it is the ultimate phone. The S23 Ultra will look nearly identical, will have small improvements here and there but the overall experience will be nearly the same. Why should I buy the same phone two times?

If it's another Note like the S22U, won't be doing it. Love my S22 + but honestly wish I'd kept my S21U.

I am retired and income is much lower so probably keep my s22 unless the trade in is so large I can't refuse. It getting too much changing devices every year I got the s22 ultra from best buy because they gave me a large trade in for my 13 pro.

Maybe... if they offer the $1000 trade-in like the did for the S22U. I rocking an N20U and was planning to wait for the S23 but the $950 trade and free bump to 256 was good. If they offer $1000 for me S22U and only cost me $300 more out of pocket. It would have been the same as if I held on to the N20U for another year I probably would only have gotten $600 for my N20U and pay $600 out of pocket for the S23U.

But... I may consider the iPhone 15. I'm really wanting to try out the Apple Phone Ultra and I currently duel-wield an Iphone Xr but I may want to go down to one phone and if I do try an Ultra then I'd probably go with iPhone.

If Sammy has a good trade in I will upgrade if not stay with what I have.

We only went from 21U to 22U cause of the $1000 deal was really good plus accessory credit. My plan was always to go from 21U to 23U cause of the 200 zoom. I've never been a note fan but once we got the 22U and I had it side by side with my 21U I like the way it looked and the squareness as long as I have my popsocket on I have small hands. We mainly went from 21 to 22 cause we figured we would get more for the 22 than our 21 when we do upgrade. But I am wondering what the deal will be and we may have to wait. This 1000 for 21U wasn't the original deal I don't think when the 22U came out and we loved our 21U and had no intentions to upgrade till the 23 until I saw this deal. My husband has been having a few problems and says he liked the 21U better so I am hoping he likes the 23 but mainly I want it for the camera and we don 't really use the pen but it's nice to have. I like the take a picture function.

That's what happened to use when we traded in out 21U for the 22U we only had to pay $399 but we made a $1000 and had paid $800. So unless we can get the 512 for about 400 that is the only way we will upgrade also. we have the buds pro I think but a newer one has come out since then and I would get them just for an extra pair with the accessory credit. I would get the same I blason case and Zagg screen protector. We have a deal with our credit card pay through paypal use reward points and we both did that with our Zagg protectors. I'm getting a bonus at work and a raise next month so I will put money aside. And I know I will always have a case on my phone but if it's true from what I have seen I saw a pretty purple phone but usually the 512's don't get the good colors this past time we did I have the burgundy. We own our phones and like doing that so we don't pay extra for 2 or 3 years.

So we will probably do it. I do hope to get a $1000 for the 22U though. Is the 23 going to look similar and have the pen also? I need to learn how to use my pen more the other day I wanted to circle something from a screen shot i took and didn't know how. LOL!

Yeah I could probably get buy with 256 but I take a lot of pics and video and I know I can transfer to my computer but I just like having 512. But I am wondering how much they will offer for the 22U and if it's not a 1000 if we should wait a while and see if a good deal pops up. Cause when we got out 21U I had no intentions of getting the 22U until I saw the email about the 1000 trade in so long after. And I would rather get a 1000 and no free accessories to be honest. Oh and I just looked I've sued 131.2 and have 380.8 left so yeah I could get buy with 256 I bet.

I'm going to see what the trade in value is before I decide.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 looks like a powerful chip with better efficiency and graphics than the Exynos 2200 in my S22 Ultra.

I've been getting some phone crashes lately when I have answered a call, the screen just freezes and the the phone reboots, so if Samsung do offer a good trade in then I'll go for it.

A lot of great insight here -- thanks! With all the people saying "No" going from 22 to 23 -- unless it's a good deal -- there might be just as many people who have 21's and decided to pass on the 22 and wait for the 23. Who knows, LOL. We will soon see.

Regarding the trade in numbers I am reading about, I am with VZW and I've never seen or been offered anywhere close to the kind of deals I am reading about here! I guess I am just not in the loop, LOL. Thanks again for the insight!

If you go go the Shop Samsung app or the Samsung website, you can complete the pre-registration for your S23 phone and get a $50 credit to be used towards accessories at the time of purchase. You just have to fill in some information about your trade-in device.

I sold my S22 plus and went with the pixel 7 Pro cause I had an upgrade with t mobile. So I pay like $5 a month for 24 months for the pro but everything I own is Samsung, watch, buds and tablet. I really miss one UI so I'm hoping to hear great things about the S22 plus it ultra and I probably will upgrade.

I'm also a bit of a phone junky so I really hope the snapdragon gen 2 will be super efficient.

We have Verizon only for a couple years and we like to pay off and own our phones cause we trade in often and I don't want my bill any higher. But Samsung usually has the best deal and Best Buy used too also. They used to offer a good trade in and you could still get the free buds or whatever Samsung was giving away. I just get nervous and have heard horror stories on trade ins.
