Hey everyone,
I recently got the Galaxy S25 Ultra and I’ve been really happy with it overall. However, I noticed something odd and wanted to see if others have experienced the same thing.
When the screen is on, the fingerprint reader area looks totally normal—the reader outline isn’t visible at all. But when I shine a light (like a flashlight or phone torch) directly on the screen, there’s a small dent-like mark on the top-left side of where the fingerprint reader is located. It’s only visible when the light hits it at the right angle.
Out of curiosity, I checked a display unit at a nearby store and noticed it had a similar (but less noticeable) dent, though it was on the right side of the fingerprint area instead.
So now I’m wondering:
Thanks in advance!

So now I’m wondering:
- Is that dent a normal part of the under-display fingerprint hardware?
- Is it something I should be concerned about, or possibly a defect?
- Does your S25 Ultra show anything similar under direct light?
Thanks in advance!
