S25 Ultra might lose bluetooth connectivity on the S Pen.

I use mine on occasion and when I am using it, the S-pen is worth its weight in gold.

Only problem is I also have to remove my case because the Magsafe style cases I love to use do interfere a little with the S-pen.

Do most S24Ultra owner use the pen?
Yes, a lot! If Bluetooth is gone, I hope they replace it with something like UWB wireless. The official photos still show a side button and the click button on the end. Some form of S-pen wireless communication would be needed for those to work, I think.

So what's the deal on the S-pen? I'm looking but don't see if it's still BT

Yeah, just saw a YouTuber with his review showing it's no longer BT and they didn't bother with installing the magnetic ring inside the phone, so nothing gained unless for Samsung to claim a weight reduction by removing the components needed internally to charge the S-pen for BT connectivity.

Do we know if the S-pen is backwards compatible? Would the one from my S22 ultra work with the S25? I use the bluetooth for starting and stopping video when doing reports in the field on YouTube.. I use the hell out of it.

It won't fit in the slot. I'm guessing you possibly could keep it charged in your old phone, but not a good solution even if it would work when you want to use it.

You should also be able to do the same thing with a Galaxy Watch
