I'd suggest starting a new thread with an appropriate subject line. Many more people will see it that way than will see it buried in this old thread.

But first, try shutting it down and pulling the battery for a few minutes. That probably won't help, but it's easy to try. If that doesn't work, I think you're probably going to have to do a factory reset.

I was typing a text message with about 30% batterly life remainin when my phone shut off and went black? When I tried to restart it, the SAmsung III logo appears but it wont boot up?

I tried removing the battery for a moment that didnt work, when I plug in the recharger the light wont come on indicating it is recharging?

Try posting in this forum: http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s/ and describing in as much detail as possible your issues and what you've done to try to solve them.

I am having issues with my messaging app. I am a very heavy texter, but specifically to one person under one thread (My Girlfriend). When I text other people everything runs normal and smooth, but when I open the thread with my girlfriends messages it will take at least 10 seconds to load than another 5 to bring up the keyboard and after all that then I will type but the keyboard and screen will lag very very badly. I've tried deleting the thread as I do with most other threads but it just ends up crashing my messaging then my phone forcing me to restart and in some case shut down my phone. I was told by some people to delete message by message but there are about 30-40,000 texts between the two of us and I doubt I can make any dent to help the complete deleting process I really have grown sick of this and need serious help. Also I will add I have no idea how this website is run, therefore I don't know how or when I will be notified if at all, if you respond.

For S3 Mini questions, you're probably better of asking in that specific sub-forum: Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

But no, international phones operate on the GSM standard. Verizon is CDMA, not GSM. The phone should work on AT&T and T-Mobile, though.

Good day good sir, I need help with my S3 international version, not rooted, I just need to know how to calibrate my touchscreen because when iI tap somewhere it will actually tap a bit underneath. Sorry about my grammar. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any way to calibrate the screen on these phones.

please help!! I have a galaxy S3 and the screen is not showing up.it is turned on,it shows a red light when charging,it vibrates when pressing the keys,it works like a normal phone but the only problem is that the screen is not showing up. this happened after my phone fell down. pls reply as soon as possible.

You probably should have started a new thread for this, as it's not really related to "tips and tricks."

But you probably need to take your phone for repair. Either the OLED screen was damaged, or the connector knocked loose so it's not making good contact. The second should be cheap to fix. If it needs a new screen, that's not going to be cheap.

Hello,
I need some help. I rooted my Verizon S3, JellyBean 4.1.2 using these steps from XDA . I tried to install MOAR...i'm a noob, so i bricked my phone ...twice. I was able to flash a back a stock firmware using these steps from androidrooting . I really want to install MOAR.. The two times I tried to install; I run recovery mod, unzipped the MOAR zip, it ran the AROMA installer and I was able to chose the options I wanted. After the AROMA was done and the phone rebooted it gave me the Orange triangle, saying that there was unauthorized software installed and to turn my phone off and bring it to a Verizon store. What do you think I'm doing wrong, and how could i fix it? I really want MOAR on my phone. THANKS!!!

Do you or anyone else know how to root a S3 for boost mobile. I've heard you can do it using Sprint info but I'm a lil leery on trying it. I rooted my S2 but it was a sprint phone that I flashed to boost. Any info or ideas would be awesome thanks.

Greetings from A****h.Karkera. I have a new S3 and I have a problem connecting to the open Wi-Fi source at my office.But my phone connects just fine with the secured networks back at my friends place and my place.



When in office I try to connect it shows connecting initially and then it tries for obtaining I P address, and it keeps on with a final attention message being displayed as Network disabled, in the same open network all other phones of my colleagues, along with my blackberry connects just fine. What has Mac address 5c:F8:A1:B1:72:3c got to do with this???

Why did you mention your MAC address? Are you receiving an error that references it? (The MAC address is a unique identifier for your device on a network.)

You're not seeing an icon in the upper left that looks like the Wi-Fi icon with a question mark in the middle? This would typically be the prompt that you need to accept a 'Terms of Service' agreement before your network connection is complete.
