S5 over iPhone 6

I've had the S5 on ATT since it launced. I'm thinking of switching back to apple. The S5 is a great phone but almost everyone I know (most importantly family) has iPhones and since I don't live near any of them it is much easier to send short videos of my kids to them. I still haven't found a way to do it from my S5 yet. I've read that I can upload them to You Tube or use WhatsApp but then I would need all those family & friends to upload those other apps (or with You Tube a Google + account). I understand I can customize my S5 and all that but once I have it set I wouldn't change it that often & I'm not really that tech savvy. So Face Time & the ability to quickly & easily send short (10-20 seconds) videos may draw me back. Every time I think this, I think about how much I hate iTunes and how my wife's phone is constantly plugged in.
There definitely is no perfect phone...I'm just afraid the iPhone my be better for me.

I'm sorry, what is the "continuity" feature? Since, I switched I really don't too much keep up with Apple

The continuity feature is when if you are composing an e-mail on your iphone, you can continue where you left off and finish it on your mac or ipad or iphone.

I have an ipad mini with retina display (which I am going to return), since I just got the iPhone 6 Plus, I feel like I don't need the use of the ipad mini retina if I can do the same thing on my iphone 6 Plus.

I just switched from my S5 to iPhone 6 Plus. Who knows I may give my S5 to my wife.

Quite a few features. But basically easier (Apple says seamless) transitions between Apple devices.

I can already get my text messages and make and receive phone calls on other devices (E. G Tablets) and can receive hangouts messages on my chromebook. I also do not use a mac (windows) and would not buy an iPhone so continuity has little benefit for me as an ipod touch and iPad owner. I actually think qpair is the best implementation of Continuity between phones and tablets.

However I can see that of you have all Apple products this would be a good feature.

Yes. It only works if you have at least 2 Apple products. And I know that there are other ways to get some of the functionality of Continuity, but 1) it's not going to give you all of the features (the email and phone call on your Mac features for example) and 2) it's third party. This works out of the box

The reason I keep going back to Apple is the apps and the polish of iOS. Show me Garage Band on Android or an Akia MPC app. No app maker takes Android apps serious. Example, look at the Chase app. When was the last time it was up dated for Android? Now look at iOS Chase app. It's not even it the same league. Chase redesigned the entire app from top to bottom for iOS but hasn't done anything for Andriod in over a yr I believe. Why is that? This is a major bank. Chase has even partnered with Apple for Applepay. Navy Federal and a few others are joining Apple later this yr. Why couldn't Google Wallet do that?

Chase app just did a major upgrade on Android. Do some research before spouting off.

You do more research. It's STILL NOT on par with iOS app. I had the side by side. The android app looks thrown together.

I don't need to as I didn't try to compare the IOS version and the Android version. Just pointed out that it just received a major upgrade and you were stating that it hasn't gotten an update in over a year.

They just did that update. Before that, it was about a year. The iOS version has 2-3 updates in that time. It's not Androids fault. chase keeps a record on who dl it's app the most.

The iOS app is terrible, better off sticking with the browser, it looks nice but I don't like it.

Why do you think it's terrible. I can do anything from the app now including send money to external accts at other banks. I love the push alerts. I also love what NFCU did about letting you log in with a pin. It's makes checking your balance that much faster.

It looks horrible, I hate that it's essentially the website in app form, like it's not really an "app" app if you know what I mean.

I'll stick to using safari to view chase until they fix that albatross, however yes, the alert options are great.

Except Apple implemented it better. They have far more partners supporting it, and they won't allow carriers to interfere like they did with Google Wallet

My husband has been a HardCore iPhone worshiper for years now and last week after the announcement about IOS8 and the new iPhones he has jumped ship over to Android and LOVES his S5 and he purchased the Neo Watch so he is super happy.

iOS 8 was announced in June at WWDC. It was just released until this week.

Yes but they reiterated some features at the even this month and he was NOT impressed.. simple as that.
