S5 over iPhone 6

But the iPhone's experience is so smooth on their tiny processor and 1GB of ram. And their 8 MP camera takes awesome pics. Why do we need such spec-ed out phones on Android? Can't Google optimize their OS to run on lower power needs? Just saying....

I get that, but despite the high specs on Android phones, the battery life is still better across the board. Hmm....

Actually, the RAM is an issue. They should have gone to 2 once they switched to 64-bit. On iOS, if you open a handful of apps, you can easily max out the RAM, and the oldest apps then get "kicked." When you reopen that app it will restart, which isn't good when multitasking.

They are. The problem is just that apps restart once you max out the RAM, and access the oldest apps in your recents, not that they lag

Owned one, no. I have used the iPhone 5 quite a bit, and I have an old iPad 2 that I hardly ever use.

App optimization. The hardware on the S5 is superior, but if the app isn't properly made it won't run as well as it can

Money assessment. IOS is still were the majority of the money is. Very few apps come with the idea Android first.

that is because the way Apple originally made their app store and eco system !!!! but that is changing very rapidly, I would said the only thing lacking on Android is "audio latency" which is why top developers are more incline to produce professional apps for IOS but that has also change with the released of Android L

you most be talking about NFC ? If do a little research you will find that they are using NFC with a "Secure Element" to power the new Apple Payment System. There is a reason why Google has moved away from the "Secure Element" and replaced with it with "Host Card Emulation" a year ago.
So i just dont see how Apple would be doing this better!!!!

My guess would be that it's because they have more partners set up than Google or anybody else. And there won't be any carriers interfering with it

Actually I am talking about investors and seed funding. Also the right now the data shows that the Apple App Store has more funds being spent on it.

I have seen a lot of polish apps come out for Android over the last year. I think that all change as the market became more 4.0.X based os wise.

I thought this was clever. Not really an argument you can make against this. That being said I will get the 6 plus because Apple traditionally doesn't need superior hardware for the devices to run smoothly. I am also kind of stuck in the ecosystem with iMessage and their App Store. Love Android and iOS but every Android phone I've owned other than the HTC One M7 didn't last more than a couple months. This is because of the ecosystem and me missing my games that weren't available on Android, like Infinity Blade
