S6 Edge Getting Hot?

I've had mine since the 17th and have used the camera the most. All day over the weekend. I've also played some games for 5 or so minutes as well as browse the web and use Facebook. I've never notice my phone getting hot.

Factory reset solves the problem!!! Was experiencing the same issues and did the reset.The phone is no longer hot while using or charging.make sure you back up everything on your cloud! The phone will load with the pre installed apps but not the ones you Install after! Love the phone I switched from the iPhone and was concerned but no longer! The reset does the trick! Good luck!

Did 2 factory reset, my battery still sucks and my phone is still hot.

What exactly is hot? Download GSAM and it will tell you the Temp of the Device.

Mine Ranges from 22-30 C

Wow that is actually very hot. Is that after you play a few games or normal Web browsing?

The hottest I've ever seen was 32 but that when I was playing a game for quite sometime. The hotter the phone usually means the battery will drain quick.

If I was you I would exchange the device.

Yes I've being noticing that as well. Each time I use the camera a lot or it's charging it's gets hot, but it doesn't warns me that it's too hot like my previous phone would. Also I've notice that the quick launch for the camera stops working at times. I have to go to the settings and turn it off and on again and then it starts working. Is anybody else having that problem ?

When I picked her up last night and downloaded, set up and customized everything it got pretty warm, 33°C.

Now that everything is done it's at 24-27.

It's after I play games, even when charging it becomes that hot.
Normal web browsing it's get significant hotter/warmer, But I wouldn't say that hot as 35c

Mine was getting really hot and then the accelerometer burned out. I return that unit and got a new one and I've noticed that it stays very cool. So I think some units are just defective.

Just woundering you say your new unit stay cool but whats the temperature of it?

I just downloaded the GSAM app and the temp is 92 F. I have not been on FB or any other apps. The last charge was about 30 minutes ago at 100 %. Now it's 96% full. I have a wireless charging pad and it charges the phone through a thin flipcase. I can feel a very warm phone through the case. The phone also feels warm when I put my hand on top of the glass screen. This can't be normal. I bought my phone a month ago.

Would need to know more details. For example, it is morning where I am now and 36° C ambient.

What is the ambient temp?what apps you running? What is the battery drain during the past 20 minutes (you can log via battery monitor widget or similar)

Suddenly I am experiencing heat on my hand from last night onward. Started during charging. After checking the battery usage, seems google play store eating up the battery even higher than screen. So I am doing the factory reset (after backup). Let see

use GSAM and battery usage in settings. What I have observed is Play store using a lot. And I have encounter few times the error "Google play store stopped" type info messages time to time. Did a factory reset(after backup). Lets see.You can try to find which app causing the issue, unless its factory defect

i also got s6 regular after 1 week used i noticed that my phone gets extremely hot while charging and also after 30minutes while browsing and light usage of the phone..regret buying this phone i should have bought note 4 instead
