Just got an S5 today... very very very happy.

Have an S3 from June 2012 that still works w/o issue. Still on the original battery & have never purchased a back up one. Will be looking at either the S5 or S6 next month. Want to see the reviews of the production/carrier S6 out on the market first though.

The IP67 rating on the 5 is important to me since I work outdoors, so that will probably be the direction for me to go.

Samsung might eventually introduce the S6 active, Its still unconfirmed as of yet though.
I figure by the S7 launch I might be ready to give up my S5 - maybe even later....

I hope the S7 brings back a removable battery and microSD card expansion slot. Also IP67 certification. Also hope the aux headphone jack goes back to the top. I think they copied apple on this one...

I hate to say it but I bet Samsung sticks to their guns on the non removable battery and SD card slot missing on future flagship phones in the S series

I hope I'm proven wrong, but that seems to be the trend now...

The only way Samsung would go back to removables in the S series is if the S6 sold far far far below expectations forcing them to consider why.

I apologize but I do not foresee that happening. Quite the opposite actually.

I agree with just about everything said here. The S6 is a revolutionary step back if you ask me. Funny, when the S5 came out they had TV commmercials that specifically knocked the iPhone and it's inability to change a battery. Oh you're phone is dead for the day already, I'll just pop off the back cover and change my battery. LOL And now they are doing the same thing. Don't try to tell me how powerful it is or good on battery life it is; no phone that exists or will exist in any near future will have a battery that lasts as long as I need it to. As much as the non-changable battery situation bothers me, it doesn't bother me half as bad as the removal of the SD card. That is just dumb. Hopefully at least maybe the note line will keep those features and maybe I'll have to go that route next time, unless Samsung gets it's head out of it's *** and puts those thing back into the S7, but I won't hold my breath.

Think about it Samsung - people don't choose the iPhone because it doesn't have SD Card capability nor removable batteries. I think whomever made those product decisions there at your company does not understand iPhone one bit and should be fired for such an asinine decision.

I spoke to a Samsung rep at Best Buy and he told me Samsung listens to its customers people complained about the material it was made of, so they changed it to premium material. people complain about the speaker sounding bad and the flap on the battery charger breaking off so they didn't do IP 67 water resistance. People complain about the batteries swelling up and having problems for years so Samsung manufactured their own high quality battery and locked it in so we wouldn't have those problems.

Bottom line you can't have everything guys it's give or take for some things, but I'm assuming Samsung will listen and there will at least be in SD card slot in the S7 or maybe even in the S6 Active.
