s7 edge 7.0 beta thread

If I install the Verizon beta, will there be any issues with installing the future "approved" version? I would hate to have to go back to a factory reset to install the "legit" version.

You would revert back to the latest stock MM firmware via Odin and take the legitimate OTA if there are any issues, which I don't really foresee since the update file is signed. The only issue that installing an "illegimate" beta is that you're not officially registered to provide and read feedback in the official beta forum. It's always recommended to do a factory restore after a major upgraded such as this beta and when the official Android 7.0 OTA gets installed so you'll be doing them anyway.

I'm on Verizon and registered for the beta. My question is do I need to have my sim card installed to download the update? My sim is still in my note 7. When I go to system updates on my s7 edge it says service unavailable.

tmobile android 7.0 beta

Hi guys the beta for tmobile users is suppose to be available today. But all I see when I go into the app is server error please try later.

Has anyone received it?

Or at what time do you think it will be made available?

Re: tmobile android 7.0 beta

On the day it came out in the UK, the beta app started working in the afternoon, around 1430 if I remember correctly and the OTA started being released around 2300

I haven't received it yet but hopefully it will start happening later this morning...

Nothing on my side either. The beta app was working a few days ago but now just servor error. Checking update shows nothing either.

Tmobile user here and same results as joeyjay. Not available as of yet and I don't that it will be for a while...

The Sprint beta was released shortly before midnight ET the day it was scheduled to be released (11/9). The Verizon beta (which I have) was released mid-afternoon ET on the day it was supposed to be released (11/11).

Android system always seems to be at the top of my battery stats, even above screen. Anyone else finding the same?

Performance drops off a cliff when downloading files either through Play Store or via the browser and the download manager notification is being displayed. Other than that it's been mostly smooth sailing with a few other minor bugs and glitches.

I really can't wait for official release purely so that I can use the Theme Store again.

I'm on the beta thru Verizon and AOD seems to have a bug where notifications will disappear after a while -- leaving only the clock/date and battery icon. The notifications are restored only with a re-boot or clearing of the app data and cache from Application Manager. Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Can't say that I'm having that issue.

Hopefully someone can help me. I'm on Verizon. I currently have my sim in my note 7 still. After days of trying to register with my s7 edge I finally was able to register last night so today I swapped my sim from my note 7 to the edge hoping I could download the update but it says no update available. When I go to the galaxy beta app now it is asking me to register again and gives me a server error. Before I swapped the sim the app said unregister instead of registration. Very disappointed if I'm back at square one now
