S7 Edge. Does Bluetooth always send a signal when connected?

[AC Question]

I use BT for my hearing aids. Does BT always send a signal when connected? Or only when it needs to like when music is playing or a notification is sent?? The BT light is continuously lit when my S7 screen is lit. This locks up my hearing aids and I can't adjust them because the BT streaming audio is preempting every thing else.

Welcome to the forum. I also have a similar setup but haven't seen that happen. You can control what the BT connection is allowed to stream. Long press the connection and you should see an option to turn off the streaming audio. Probably not explaining that well, but play around with it.

I should add that my work cell phone only activates the BT transmitter when a sound is present, like music, or a key press. Weird thing is, this just started happening yesterday. Had the hearing aids for 3 weeks and all was Ok???

If I turn off the "Media Audio" switch, and use the BT for phone calls only everything works fine. But that's no fun!

Welcome to the forum as a new user! Sometimes having the best of both world doesn't work Don't know why it would change, a setting or possibly a new app? Phones are complicated. My controller will only pair with one source at a time, either TV, mic or phone.

I thought I'd let you all know that I solved the issue:

1. Put the phone into safe mode and the BT problem ceased.
2. Began removing apps to find the one that was causing the BT to be transmitting continuously.
3. Removed 24 apps before I found that "Letgo" was causing the problem. As soon as it uninstalled, BT stopped transmitting continuously and all was well.

It's been almost 2 days now and everything is OK. By the way, I reinstalled Letgo and hour later and the problem did NOT reoccur.
