S7 Edge is slow after update

I'm starting to get worried about getting the S8 when I'm starting to see my 5 month old Edge become laggy, especially when playing video in Pocket casts and YouTube. I noticed a lot of times video would just freeze while audio continues. Is this expected behavior with Samsung phones that have carrier bloat ware installed?

That doesn't sound normal at all.

Have you checked to see if any rogue processes are still running in the background?

I'd say No it's not normal.

My s7 edge is Factory unlocked meaning no bloat ware but I know people with network supplied phones that run fine.

I'd start by checking the usual stats in your phone to see what's using ram etc and optimise.

Clear the system cache.

Try an alternative app to watch media.

Check Signal where you are if your streaming on the network.

See if the issue persists on a good strong wifi connection.

As a very last resort back up and Factory Reset.
