S7 Edge - Verizon preorders

Honestly no one at Verizon even knows what's going on- seriously this is what's aggravating

It's honestly pathetic how misinformed the CS reps are when it comes to their own products. Verizon's system can also be confusing as they use the same template for all orders. Yes the ship date is when the product ships UNLESS you're talking about a pre-order and you've managed to grab a phone from the first batch.

I'm think of canceling my order and financing through Samsung. It makes more sense to be able to upgrade every year then to have to wait until 75% paid off.

I considered the same thing. I have to read more into it, but I'd rather do it that way at some point. I swap phones so frequently, but on the other hand I don't like "renting" phones.

Edit: when I select the phone on Samsung for Verizon it takes me right to Verizon. Oh well.

Just remember Samsung charges interest. Has Sammy even launched a phone financing program in the US? Unless you're from the UK or Korea, in which case, interest!

I just pay off the phone on a credit card, sell the device, make payment to C.C.

Typically Verizon will ship the day of or the day after charging the card.

Just got the text from my bank that our card was charged!! Only for my black S7 though, not for my husband's silver edge yet though. Will keep you all posted...

Except lease programs are terrible because you never own the phone - you just make monthly payments for the right to use it for 12 months.

If you want to upgrade in 12 months you can sell the phone to pay off the remaining balance and likely get extra cash to either pocket or put towards a new phone. It's a little more work, but Swappa makes it easy. I do this to upgrade more than once a year and it works great. For example, I'm selling my 64gb iPhone 6s Plus after just 5 months and it will pretty much pay for the S7 Edge. 6-8 months from now I'll likely be able to sell the Edge to pay for the next Nexus or other phone that catches my interest. It doesn't always work that I get extra cash by selling my phone...sometimes it will take a little out of pocket to upgrade, but it's far better and cheaper than having never ending monthly payments.
