Android Central Question

Hi everyone, I received my new s7 edge yesterday through online shipping and have noticed two instances where the phone displays a static screen. this morning for example I noticed the entire screen showing static while in its always on mode which I have since disabled. the problem goes away when I press the home key but i'm wondering if I should try to send it back?

Thankyou in advance for your response

"Static screen" means a screen without anything moving. What you mean here is a noisy screen. (Just so everyone is answering the same question.)

I agree with belodion, though - you have a defective device. I'd request a replacement (at their cost both ways, of course). It could be something as simple as a connector clamp not closed all the way, but that's their problem, not yours. It's a new phone, so it should act like new phone, not like a badly beaten one.

I had a static screen issue also. ("Static" like the static on an old TV screen when not properly tuned to a channel. Young people may not know about this phenomenon...)
I noticed that one of my 4 battery terminals wasn't quite touching the battery. I got in there with a sharp implement, yanked it out a bit so that it would fully contact the battery, and promptly fixed it.
