S8 edge panel bouncing back

[AC Question]

Just recently in the last few weeks I've noticed when I wake my phone and try to use the edge panel, it bounces back closed almost instantly when I pull it out. It won't stay open long enough for me to make a selection. Anyone else seeing anything like this?

Welcome to the forum. I have not seen anything like that with my S8+, if nothing else it works much better than my S7e did. You said, "in the last few weeks", did something happen at that time, new app maybe? You could try booting into safe mode and see if that fixes the pullout. If so, then you'd need to pin down the app that causing the problem.
